Breaking: The FBI Lied About Its "Spy on Catholics" Document Only Being the Work of One Low-Level Employee
Back in February, a whistleblower leaked documents showing that the FBI was investigating "radical traditionalist" Catholics as likely terrorists, and planned to infiltrate spies, or recruit informers, among church-goers to become confidential sources surveilling their fellow congregants.
The FBI claimed that this memo "did not meet FBI standards" and claimed it was just the work of a single low-level employee. You've heard that old saw before. Oh, these "low-level employees" forever conducting audits, without authorization, against the conservative organizations that their boss, the high-level employee Lois Lerner, just happens to coincidentally want audited.
But she never authorized any of this. Oh no. It was these low-level employees reading her mind and deciding to risk their own jobs for a lark.
Well, that's the FBI's official story.
And so you know, automatically, that it's a lie, because all the FBI ever does is lie and perjure itself before Congress and frame innocent people with faked "forensic science" results.
The FBI has turned over documents in response to a Congressional subpoena, which Republicans deem "substandard" because they are filled with redactions. How dare they. How dare they respond to a Congressional subpoena by "turning over the documents requested," but with all incriminating information blacked out and withheld.
Despite the redactions, we know the FBI lied about only a "low level employee" being responsible for the plan to turn Catholics into The New Muslims (while the FBI refuses to acknowledge any Muslim terrorism).
The response showed that the FBI's proposal to develop sources within Richmond Catholic churches were reviewed and approved at least two senior intelligence analysts. The memo was also sent to field offices across the country, according to FBI whistleblowers.
Just one "low-level employee." Whose plan was approved by two "senior intelligence analysts."
And of course the FBI will never tell us who is responsible for this lie. They lie, and lie, and lie, and obstruct congressional investigations, and then if you demand to know which criminal in their ranks is responsible for these crimes, the FBI sniffs, "Privacy laws mandate that we do not comment on personnel matters. We are real sticklers for 'following the law,' you know."
Scumbag perps. We "radicals" have had enough your constant repeat-offender recidivist criminality.
More:
New internal documents released by the House Judiciary Committee revealed that the FBI worked to develop sources within Christian churches and Catholic dioceses as part of a broader effort to fight so-called domestic terrorism.
Obtained in February by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La), the documents showed the bureau sought to use churches as "new avenues for tripwire and source development."
"Mainline Catholic parishes" would be specifically targeted, the documents said.
...
"This information is outrageous and only reinforces the Committee's need for all FBI material responsive to our request," [Jim Jordan wrote in a letter to Wray, which will be contemptuously ignored]. "The documents produced to date show how the FBI sought to enlist Catholic houses of worship as potential sources to monitor and report on their parishioners."
Jordan also subpoenaed Wray over previously requested documents that the bureau has failed to turn over.
The FBI also wanted to propagandize to churches about the danger of Insurrectionists In Their Midst.
In addition, according to Jordan, the FBI expressed interest in "leverag[ing] existing sources and/or initiat[ing] Type 5 Assessments to develop new sources with the placement and access." And, in another example, the agency cited a desire to to sensitize religious congregations "to the warning signs of radicalization and enlist their assistance to serve as suspicious activity tripwires."
Jordan says that this wasn't just a plan: It had been implemented. He says "at least one" source was used in the making of the original report. That is, one informant recruited by the FBI to spy on Catholics.
Let me mention that when people talk about all the FBI informants in the Proud Boys, I think that some of those informants didn't intend to be informants against the Proud Boys. The Proud Boys had a lot of information about antifa, and would inform the FBI about antifa criminals and their plans.
But of course the FBI ignored all that actual intelligence about an actual domestic terrorist information and just collected information about the Proud Boys to prosecute them.
