some Churches Have Gotten Woke -- and Is Morally Broke
Via David Strum, two incredible stories.
Read his column for commentary.
A "pastor" of a church in San Diego claims "drag is holy," and that Jesus is just God wearing (human) drag.
This particular pastor, The Rev. Dr. Caleb J. Lines, believes that Jesus is God in drag, and hence drag is holy.
At first, I was certain this was a parody since no Christian pastor (nor, I would imagine, any other person schooled in any of the Abrahamic faiths) could possibly make this argument. Jesus is God in drag? Who would say that?
But no, this dude is real, and people actually pay attention to him.
The Rev. Dr. Caleb J. Lines is an ordained minister with standing in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ. He currently serves as the Senior Minister of University Christian Church in San Diego, as the Co-Executive Director of ProgressiveChristianity.org, and as the Co-Host for "The Moonshine Jesus Show." He has a passion for pursuing social justice for the marginalized, demonstrating the Good News of God's radically inclusive love, and proclaiming a relevant message for today's ever-changing world.
Not a joke -- David French has teamed up with the guy below to teach Christians how they can think about politics without all that hatred.
Here's a podcast discussing their new organization, "The After Party." David French is bravely leading conservatives out of conservatism.
And to... forced vaccinations.
Russell Moore, David French, and Curtis Chang are crafting curriculum to use at your church under the heading of "The After Party." This initiative is sponsored by Redeeming Babel which previously spearheaded "Christians and the Vaccine" which encouraged Christians to get the shot. Now the organization is back at it forming training materials to help pastors and other Christian leaders teach their people about how to be politically involved without being subverted by political parties. You can be the judge as to who's subverting whom.
Proud alumnus of National Review David French. Boy, National Review sure can pick 'em, huh?
Has National Review ever explained why so very many of their hires defect to the left, or do they just pretend that this isn't happening?
That's rhetorical. They pretend it isn't happening. They can never admit this or "explain" it because the explanation is self-evident, and discredits them: The only "conservatives" National Review hires are only a stone's throw away from being straight-up liberals.
But they're the Gatekeepers of Conservatism. Or... they used to be!
