Illegal Aliens Refusing to Vacate Expensive Midtown Hotel Move Against... The Media
Well, I'll make them this deal: For every media jagoff you can bully into renouncing his citizenship, I'll permit two of you to remain in the country.
One out, two in: That's the Ace of Spades plan.
The ongoing migrant standoff at a Manhattan hotel turned ugly Wednesday after a group of about 10 outside activists used open umbrellas to prevent the news media from documenting the scene.
The intervention prompted several migrants to angrily confront a journalist who was shooting a video for Dubai-based Al Arabiya TV, with one migrant hitting the camera and dislodging its small monitor unit.
One hero, you mean.
Some of the 35 migrants gathered in front of the Watson Hotel in Hell's Kitchen also shouted at other camera operators to try to intimidate them.
NYPD cops issued warnings but made no arrests.
The newshound whose camera was struck, Ghassan Masoud, said he'd never been treated so badly during a career that's included coverage of the Iraq War.
"In 30 years, even in war zones, I've never experienced aggression like that," Masoud said.
"I know their situation is bad. I just want to tell their story and they attacked me."
Masoud, who usually covers the United Nations, described the migrants as "aggressive."
"One migrant threatened to hit me with a broom, which is when the cops stepped in and told them I had every right to film," he said.
LOL.
Timcast's reporter says that the illegal aliens are being encouraged in their entitled defiance by antifa "activists" and ACLU employees.
Migrants who were protesting the move set up camp outside of the Watson Hotel, causing the New York Police Department (NYPD) to shut down eastbound traffic. City officials told the New York Post that it "was so-called advocates and not actual migrants who stoked dissent and encouraged dozens of asylum-seekers to stand their ground at a three-star Manhattan hotel rather than go to a new mega-shelter set up by Mayor Eric Adams."
Timcast field reporter Elad Eliahu captured footage of several activists working to facilitate the illegal migrant camp on New York City streets. One was reportedly a protest monitor with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), who was coordinating with at least one member of the far-left, violent extremist group Antifa.
Thanks to Deb Heine of American Greatness for that last report.
Deb says she knew antifa was involved when she saw those umbrellas. Apparently antifa routinely uses umbrellas to block cameras from getting images of their thugs smashing windows, burning cars, and attacking citizens.
