Drones-R-Us

Which country in the world is the United State's greatest adversary? If you were honest without political aspirations or religious concerns Iran would have to be in the top 2.

Since the Shah of Iran's fall in 1979 Iran has been at war with the US. Iran hates the US. The religious leaders who rule that country are not interested in anything but the defeat of The Great Satan. There is no room for appeasement or compromise with Iran. This is clear today as it was in December 2011.

Why are we talking about December 2011? While Obama was playing Commander-In-Chief the US Military lost a drone in Iran.

Instead of being quick, decisive and nonsensical about the recovery or destruction of military equipment. He did nothing. Well, that's not quite accurate, he did ask Iran to return it to us.

That’s when a U.S. drone on a surveillance mission malfunctioned, crash landing in the Iranian desert. President Barack Obama, the nuclear agreement a glint in his eye, faced a choice: Forfeit some of our most closely guarded national security technology to a sworn enemy or fight back.

Per the Times, Obama "briefly considered sending in a Navy SEAL team to blow it up before it fell into the hands of Iranian engineers," but "decided not to take the risk." He also opted against options B and C: Deploying some of our Iranian allies to track down the drone or launching an airstrike to destroy its remains: U.S. officials told the Wall Street Journal they didn’t think the drone’s prized technology "could be reverse engineered with ease."

Instead, he chose option D—do nothing—and you’ll never guess what happened next! Within days, "the Iranians paraded the drone through the streets of Tehran, a propaganda victory." Surely just another American humiliation courtesy of Obama’s appeasement of America’s enemies. The world moved on.

Fast forward 11 years and the US has decided to back Ukraine against the Russians. (That's a different thread for a different time) While we continually break the piggy bank assisting Ukraine Iran has chosen a different side. Of course Iran will work work with Russia if it is against US interests.

The drone which Obama did nothing about, the technology left in the hands of Iranians is now being used against Ukraine.

But fast forward a decade, and there were real consequences: The technology that powered that drone has gone from a triumph in the messaging wars to a potent weapon on the battlefield. Iran had replicated it by 2016. And we close 2022 having come full circle, with the Iranians now a powerhouse in the development and deployment of drone technology to battlefields all over the world, including as a key supplier to Russia in its war on the civilian population of Ukraine.

So Obama let the Iranians keep our drone. Of course they gleaned the technology from it and went into the drone business. If a country can't produce the parts for a drone program, the wide world of commerce comes through.

A single Iranian attack drone found to contain parts from more than a dozen US companies

Parts made by more than a dozen US and Western companies were found inside a single Iranian drone downed in Ukraine last fall, according to a Ukrainian intelligence assessment obtained exclusively by CNN.

The assessment, which was shared with US government officials late last year, illustrates the extent of the problem facing the Biden administration, which has vowed to shut down Iran’s production of drones that Russia is launching by the hundreds into Ukraine.

CNN reported last month that the White House has created an administration-wide task force to investigate how US and Western-made technology – ranging from smaller equipment like semiconductors and GPS modules to larger parts like engines – has ended up in Iranian drones.

The Biden administration regime vow of shutting down the Iranian drone industry is a joke. The next time Israel calls on us to allow them to launch an offensive strike against Tehran, the answer should a resounding Yes!

An investigation into the US supply chain should occur. If there is the hint of knowingly helping Iran, jail those individuals. They have more blood on their hands than the J6 political prisoners.
