Woke Marketing Propels A Feminist Movie to the Top of the Box Office -- A Movie About an African Tribe Which Took Slaves and Sold Them to the Europeans
Plus: Woke Imbecile Don LeMon Wants Reparations from King Charles

She-Hulk and Rings of Power aren't even the worst Woke Feminist Homework Assignments (I resist calling them "entertainments") this week.

Oh, I should have mentioned: the headline is misleading. Yes, it won the box office. But there are no major releases to compete against, and haven't been any forever. The last major release was... Thor, back in July. That's how Maverick has managed to make millions every week.

So yes, this won the box office this weekend, but it was, as James Madison says, "a shit weekend." It was the sort of weekend a woke niche film can win.

The Woman King, is movie written by, get this, two woke white women about an African tribe led, supposedly, by a woman.

Although, the movie features a male king. So I don't know how Viola Davis is The Woman King. Is she a "king" in a figurative sense? Like a Kang?

Anyway, the only story these two woke white women could find in Africa that interested them was about a tribe led, supposedly, by a woman.

They did have to overlook one small detail about this tribe to get it on the big screen:

The tribe was one of the main slave-capturing tribes of Africa. They captured slaves from other tribes and used them for their own slave labor; and, of course, they captured an awful awful lot of Africans and sold them to Europeans to be bound into slavery.

A lot of slaves.

This tribe, now being given the hero treatment by Hollywood, actually was directly and fundamentally responsible for the transoceanic slave system.

You might wonder: Of all the possible stories that could be told about Africa, why in HELL would you choose to mythologize and valorize the Slavers?

Well, once again: Because two woke white women wrote it, and all they give a shit about is the Strong Empowered Female Represenation.

That she's a Strong Empowered Female Slave-Queen? Eh, not such a big deal.

The critics love it, of course.

#YasKweenEnslave

Call it a woke civil war: the Viola Davis star vehicle The Woman King has topped the North American box office on its debut weekend, even as online activists called for a boycott over the film's blatant whitewashing of an African tribe's participation in the transatlantic slave trade.

Critics have awarded The Woman King with a 94 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, hailing its "fresh female perspective" and its timely message of "women empowered to own their own bodies," and with a $19 million gross, the film ranked #1 at the weekend box office and earned an A+ CinemaScore from viewers.

And to own the bodies of the innocent men, women, and children they enslave. That's some double-secret probation "owning of bodies."

Woke social media users, however, brutally trashed the film for overlooking the fact that the Dahomey tribe it glorifies had a dubious history of selling slaves to Europeans -- promoting the hashtag #BoycottWomanKing. Even the far-left Slate had to call the makers out on it.

"The Dahomey had fierce female fighters. They also sold people overseas," Ana Lucia Araujo bluntly said in her review of the film.

The Smithsonian Magazine also admitted that "the kingdom's involvement in the slave trade doesn't align as neatly with the historical record."

"As historian Robin Law notes, Dahomey emerged as a key player in the trafficking of West Africans between the 1680s and early 1700s, selling its captives to European traders whose presence and demand fueled the industry--and, in turn, the monumental scale of Dahomey's warfare," wrote Meilan Solly of The Smithsonian.

They didn't just sell slaves, either. They kept slaves for their own benefit.

The King of the tribe -- not sure why this is called "The Woman King" when there's a male king -- eventually gave up selling slaves.

But, here's the twist: He was pressured to do give up on his slaver ways... by the White British Empire, who were by that point in time using their financial and trading power, and especially their naval power, to wipe out the Atlantic slave trade.

Solly even noted how Dahomey King Ghezo (depicted by John Boyega in the film) had to be pressured by the British government in 1852 to end its participation in the slave trade.

"Though Ghezo did at one point explore palm oil production as an alternative source of revenue, it proved far less lucrative, and the king soon resumed Dahomey's participation in the slave trade," she noted.

Mind your own business, White Colonizers.

We're busy in the #SlaveTrade.

More at the link.

Remember all the screaming about the Mel Gibson film The Patriot? They fictionalized an account of, what was he called?, "The Swamp Fox." They made him a different character. All to avoid the fact that the actual Swamp Fox owned slaves.

The critics howled at the whitwash. Again, even though this was a fictional story. Inspired by real events, but fictional.

This movie is about an actual tribe called the Dahomey which actually existed and ran the African Franchise in the transatlantic slave trade.

The star of the Pro-Slavery Propaganda Film, Viola Davis, took to Twitter to tell people they must buy tickets to support this movie, in order to prove that a black-woman-led film could win the box office race.

Well, I mean, sure, if it's a film about a Strong Black Woman who is instrumental in enslaving African men, women, and children and conducting the transatlatic slave trade.

Taking slaves is #BadAss.

Leftists are really the most disgraceful, disgusting people to ever walk the face of the earth, aren't they?

Below, directly on topic, Don "Black Hole of Ignorance" LeMon demands reparations for slavery from the British -- and is told that the British are owed reparations for the 2000 Navy men they lost eradicating the slave trade, and they're owed that from the slave-taking African tribes, too.

He quickly ends the interview.

This is incredible. "I want reparations."

"No, I want reparations for eradicating the slave trade. Pay up, LeMon."

You can land fighter jets on this woman because she is #Based.
