Below, an honor guard carries the coffin -- a very heavy one, "lined with lead" to slow decomposition (according to Piers Morgan, at least) -- into Westminster Abbey.

I haven't seen this many white men on television since the fall 1983 season.

Some are confused about that joke. I just mean that TV doesn't have white men on it any longer, and I'm feeling kind of Triggered to see all these white men at the funeral.

I picked 1983 as a year because it had a lot of cop and detective shows -- Magnum, Simon & Simon, The Fall Guy, Riptide, etc.

Below, her coffin is carried to St. George's Chapel, the chapel at Windsor Castle.

Her coffin and that of her husband, who died two years ago, were then taken together to the "vault" of other royals buried at the Castle, and there reunited.

Apparently they agreed that whoever died first, that coffin would be held in a temporary place. Only when both died would both coffins be taken together to the vault.

By the way, Meghan Markle of course fought to get herself on camera, greeting mourners.

Except that many mourners didn't want to have anything to do with her, and snubbed her attempts to greet them.

One clip purportedly showed a royal minder telling her to move along and let Kate do the greeting. She ignored the minder.
