One of the pleasures and pains of the modern world is access to an incredible amount of music...essentially all of it! But so much of it has been curated by others: YouTube channels and radio (mostly crap) and Spotify and satellite and lots of other ways to consume music are amazingly convenient, but it is somebody else's taste!
But that taste is a powerful driver of what we ultimately hear. There are wonderful musicians and singers and groups languishing in seedy bars and off-off-off-the-beaten-path clubs because of the vagaries of some record company executive's taste. We will almost certainly never hear them!
