Google Bans Truth Social from Its App Store, Protecting Its Fellow Monopolist Twitter From Competition
The tech monopolists have colluded together to create a standard of leftwing censorship that they insist that everyone must adopt -- or else they'll use their monopoly power to destroy noncompliant competitors.
Former President Donald Trump's Truth Social platform is not approved for distribution in Google's app store, as the Big Tech company isn't satisfied with the social media startup's approach to moderating and censoring its users.
Google said it had earlier this month raised its issues with Truth Social, which wrote back last week saying it was working on addressing the issues necessary to become available in the Google Play Store.
On Tuesday, Google issued a statement saying its concerns had not been satisfied and the app is therefore not available for download in Google's store.
Remember, the tech monopolies acted in concert to ban Parler from the Apple and Google stores as well. Another would-be Twitter competitor blocked from the market -- unless it adopted all of Twitter's leftwing censorship policies, making it just a smaller version of Twitter where users had less reach, in which case, why bother with the competitor? It's a strictly inferior version of the monopoly version.
Note that the only way to compete against a company with a monopoly position, like Twitter, is to offer a service with different features -- such as, a different, non-leftwing censorship policy.
But the monopolists insist that their competitors are not allowed to offer different features. They must all offer the exact same features as the well-positioned, market-dominant monopoly players -- therefore denying a competitor any hope of successfully competing against the in-place tech hegemony.
Which is how they want it.
And which is against the law in the United States, but Republicans are addicted to corporate money from the monopolists and so are agreeing to repeal the anti-monopoly laws sub silentio. Monopoly and the exploitation of monopoly power to destroy would-be competitors is now legal in the US, and no one voted on it.
The monopolists just paid off the GOP -- and Conservative, Inc. of course -- for protection.
We never voted to make predatory monopolies legal. We were never even consulted.
They just did what they wanted to do because they could, and because rich corporations greased the wheels for them to do it.
As usual.
Everyone salute the flag.
