Now NYC Mayor Eric Adams is Complaining: These Illegal Aliens Are Breaking Our Social Safety Net!

First, DC mayor Muriel Bowser whined that Texas and Arizona were bussing illegal aliens to DC, and filling the homeless shelters. She said those states were "tricking" the illegals, implying that only someone who'd been swindled would go to her city.

Now NYC mayor Eric Adams is lodging the same complaint -- illegal aliens are filling the homeless shelters and putting a great strain on our social support system, and it's all because Texas and Arizona are bussing illegals to New York City!

New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Tuesday demanded the federal government help pay for what he said was a wave of asylum seekers pouring into the city, claiming its safety net was being strained by busloads of people coming from border states and elsewhere.

Adams' comments echo those of Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, who took to national TV Sunday morning to say her city's homeless shelters were filling up because of buses being sent en masse to the city from Texas and Arizona.

But as opposed to D.C., the problem in New York City is exacerbated by its "right to shelter" mandate, which means any homeless asylum seeker who comes to town, by any means, has to be put in a bed somewhere.

"Currently, New York City is experiencing a marked increase in the number of asylum seekers who are arriving from Latin America and other regions. In some instances, families are arriving on buses sent by the Texas and Arizona governments, while in other cases, it appears that individuals are being sent by the federal government," Adams said in a statement, adding that more than 2,800 asylum seekers had entered the shelter system in recent weeks.

As Karol Markowitz said on Twitter, Gee, can you imagine how the social support systems of the border states you are flooding with illegal aliens are being strained?

But Adams is wrong to blame Texas and Arizona for bussing their illegals to New York City.

They're not. They're only bussing them to DC.

The aliens coming to NYC are coming there on their own, and they're not even being tricked!

But the offices of both Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey denied Adams' claim, saying in separate statements that they were in fact sending asylum seekers to Washington - but not to New York City.

In turn, a spokesperson for Adams responded to those pushback claims, saying that the governors "should have more compassion for those seeking asylum in this country," and repeated the city's request for federal assistance.

"If they need financial help, they should ask for it instead of heartlessly sending asylum seekers on their way with a one-way ticket," the spokesperson said of the governors. "In New York City, we have a legal and moral mandate to provide shelter to everyone who needs it, and will continue to fulfill that mandate, but, as we have said, we urgently need federal support to help us do so."

What Adams is doing is lying in order to complain about an issue that Democrats are not allowed to complain about, by fixing blame on an acceptable scapegoat.

For example, Democrats are not allowed to notice that blacks are beating the hell out of Jews in New York City, so they wait until one white guy attacks Jews, and then they talk about a wave of anti-semitic violence, presenting it in a Democrat-Approved Way, with an acceptable scapegoat ("white men").

The exact same pattern was followed with attacks on Asians.

The July Fourth shooter bought his gun in Illinois, so of course Democrats rushed out to claim that he bought it in Indiana, which has a Republican governor, and push the claim that the only reason there are shootings in blue cities and blue states with their strict gun control laws is that people smuggle them over the state lines from red states.

Every crime committed or facilitated by a Democrat or a member of a Democrat voting block must be claimed to actually have been committed by a white man, preferably a Republican.

Eric Adams cannot just complain that there are too many illegal aliens being allowed into the country through the wide open borders illegally mandated by Joe Biden -- the Democrat Party is an open borders policy. He's not allowed to make that complaint.

Unless he can find an Acceptable Scapegoat White Man to blame. And he can find them in Governor Abbott and Governor Ducey, who are, conveniently, both white men.

Even though they're simply not sending illegal aliens to New York City.

Doesn't matter that it's a lie. The Democrat Party lives on lies.

It only matters that it satisfies the requirement of shifting blame from a Democrat to a Republican.

The "destination for diversity" talk sure did dry up quickly when NYC has to deal with the same issues that border towns -- without the funding and fanfare -- have long faced.

America's geography has long allowed well-heeled liberals to proudly display "no human being is illegal" yard signs without wrestling with the attendant issues of unchecked illegal immigration.
