Felicia Somnez, Fresh Off Successfully Pressuring the Washington Post to Cancel One Fellow Reporter, Now Demands They Cancel Another

Update: They're now combing through Weigel's old tweets to see if they can collect enough Wrongthinks to get him fired. As they always do.

The Washington Post suspended Dave Weigel for an entire month because he retweeted a silly joke about women being either one of two species of "bi" -- either bisexual or bipolar -- and she's a feminist SJW who believes she is Charged By God Herself with avenging every perceived gender slight.

John Sexton recounts this bit of Somnez's history: In the hours after Kobe Bryant's death in a helicopter crash, she decided it would be the perfect time to tweet about his prior rape accusation.

Because she got so much backlash, and, as SJW activists tend to do, made herself the Star of the Story, the Post asked her to take a paid leave of absence.

The Washington Post Guild put out a statement protesting this forced leave. Among the people signing this statement of support for Somnez: Dave Weigel.

Somnez has previously sued the paper for "gender discrimination" -- because she's a strident feminist warrior who alleges she's a "sexual assault survivor," and she demanded the right to cover the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. Using her experiences as an Alleged Sexual Assault Survivor to inform her coverage.

The Washington Post decided that this was too much of a conflict of interest (shockingly) and told her not to cover Kavanaugh, and so she sued them, alleging she had... some kind of right to cover the stories she wanted to cover?!

The judge disagreed. And given Somnez's bizarre spiraling since then, one can understand why they felt she could not be objective in a case involving claims of sexual assault.

Or, frankly: In a case involving anything.

So, possibly fearing another lawsuit from Somnez, the Washington Post suspended Dave Weigel for a full month.

Without pay. This is a real suspension, not a vacation which is pretended to be a punishment.

For retweeting a joke. For not saying anything at all to Felicia Somnez, but who has elected herself Defender of All Galz.

Does that satisfy her?

You've worked here long enough, you know it doesn't.

Because there are additional scalps to be collected. Like the scalp of Jose Del Real, who dared to tell Felicia Somnez to stop trying to rally the Twitter Cancelation mobs to get Dave Weigel fired.

Somnez now wants the Washington Post to Do Something about his tweets, too:

she's still going? it's not enough to get a colleague & "good friend" suspended w/o pay for a dumb, apologized-for retweet? she must also demand that another colleague, who behaved reasonably, be punished, too? this fanatical, myopic power trip should raise other Q's about her...

In fact, she did claim Weigel was a "good friend" -- a "good friend" that she was, nonetheless, compelled to cancel, because her cause was so Righteous, and compassion for a fellow human being and "good friend" was just the Devil's way of trying to weaken your resolve.

Sometimes "friends" do things which are "wrong," and we Avenging Angels sent by God Herself must punish them and extirpate their sins!

She needs therapy. And she needs to be fired.

She'll get neither, of course.

She'll probably wind up being appointed the Washington Post's Special Rapporteur on Brett Kavanaugh.

Meanwhile, Felicia Somnez has flip-flopped on the issue of publicly demanding someone's firing.

A leftwing journalist that Felicia Somnez liked and supported had been fired for revealing her political bias, when she enthused she'd "gotten chills" at seeing "president" - "elect" Joe Biden's plane land in DC on January 19, 2020.

Felicia Somnez declared: You don't fire someone for bad tweets!!! You just have a patient word with them privately!!!

Update: Yesterday I said that the SJWs would not be satisfied with a one month suspension without pay -- they would demand the full scalp, the full cancellation.

They're like sharks -- once one shark draws blood, the rest of the sharks go into frenzy.

And they're in frenzy now: They're going through Weigel's old tweets and forwarding them to Somnez to help her get him fired.
