June 10 (UPI) -- Police in Florida were summoned to a store when a "giant dog" wandered into the business, browsed for a few hours and refused to leave at closing time.
The Bradenton Police Department said the "giant dog," a 135-pound canine, wandered into the Dollar General store in Bradenton and employees initially decided to let the animal go about his business, as he wasn't disturbing any merchandise or other customers.
A while back, I posted this 1982 documentary about people in Gloucestershire, UK tumbling down a dangerously steep hill to try to catch a cheese wheel. The passion for cheese rolling is still going strong today, as seen in this 2022 Jubilee Cheese rolling contest.
In the video, the people look like they are violently tumbling to their death rather than rolling. It's hard to believe that people willingly partake in this, considering the risk of injury. Washington man was charged with insurance fraud after he was accused of adding a car to his insurance policy shortly after getting into an accident.
The Battle Ground man was charged with false claims or proof and attempted theft, according to a June 7 release from the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner. The agency said he was involved in a two-vehicle crash in April 2019, and that his car wasn’t insured at the time.
