Surly, Cranky Dementia Patient Announces He's Done Being Polite

Joe Biden is done with all the bipartisanship and unity he's been trying so hard at, reports his Crisis Communications PR firm Politico.

The fever didn't break. And for the Biden White House, efforts at bipartisanship have finally taken a backseat.

To the frustration of many Democrats and some of his closest advisers, President Joe Biden has steadfastly spent more than a year in office insisting on trying to work across the aisle with Republicans.

He was so determined to work with Republicans in a bipartisan fashion -- and so determined to honor his campaign promise to govern as a moderate and unify the country -- that he smeared some very basic voter ID laws as "Jim Crow 2.0" in January.

It's produced some notable legislative successes. But it's also been colored by a fair dose of in-your-face GOP obstructionism.

In-your-face GOP "obstructionism" like "not voting for multitrillion dollar boondoggles of leftist wish-list items you know they'd never vote for, then threatening for months to abolish the filibuster to pass it over their objections."

"In your face GOP obstructionism" like that.

Politico is Real Journalism!

Now, more than a year later, Biden no longer believes that most Republicans will eventually drop their fealty to Donald Trump and show a willingness to engage. He himself admitted he was wrong.

Ah, the one thing he's willing to admit error on is his previous estimation that Republicans were reasonable people.

Things he won't admit error on:

His timetable/plan for evacuating Afghanistan

That trillions in spending would never, ever cause inflation

etc.

"I never expected the ultra-MAGA Republicans who seem to control the Republican Party now to have been able to control the Republican Party," the president said last week. "I never anticipated that happening."

To many Democrats, the admission was long overdue. Even some in Biden's orbit had been urging a far more aggressive response, according to four White House officials and Democrats close to the White House.

To many Democrats, the admission was long overdue -- and as Biden is now losing even Democrat votes, he now says he'll pander even harder to keep those Democrat votes!

What a coincidence that as Democrats are calling for a "Summer of Rage" about abortion, and increasingly demanding violence against Supreme Court justices, and blaming Democrats for not having done enough to encode Roe into law sooner, Biden decides he's going to start playing to the mob!

Wow! Who could have predicted this coincidence in timing!!!

Steve Ricchetti, Biden's senior adviser and the primary liaison with the GOP during the infrastructure talks, told Biden after that infrastructure bill passed that he didn't think the GOP would bargain anymore. Much of the communications staff, including just-departed press secretary Jen Psaki, advised a more aggressive stance. And first lady Jill Biden told confidants that she was urging her husband to be less scripted and more on the offensive.

A less scripted Joe Biden.

Like when Biden announced we were at war with Russia, for example?

...

But Biden also believed that after four tumultuous years of Trump, the nation was hungry for unity -- and that even some Republicans, horrified by the Jan. 6 riot and weary of the 45th president's divisive approach to the office, would be willing to spend some time working across the aisle.

"The thing that will fundamentally change things is with Donald Trump out of the White House. Not a joke," said Biden during a 2020 New Hampshire campaign stop. "You will see an epiphany occur among many of my Republican friends."

Biden has often repeated that sentiment, one that echoed Obama's declaration the GOP's "fever" of opposition would "break" after his 2012 reelection. Both men were wrong.

The White House tried with no avail to win Republican support for its $1.9 trillion March 2021 Covid relief bill but didn't give up its efforts. Zeroing in on passing a bipartisan infrastructure deal, Biden chose to ignore growing Democratic concern that he was prioritizing working with Republicans over a series of his own party's priorities, including voting rights and climate change. But top aides argued that the public would reward him for getting GOP support for a portion of his agenda.

Oh, he sought Republican votes out of the goodness of his own heart...? Probably needed those anyway given it was a 50-50 Senate though, too, huh?

So it wasn't just about being a unifying figure, huh?

Incredible, incredible propaganda.

So here's what this Politico article really means:

Biden's promise to be a "Unifying" president was of course always a lie. He has always been an extremely nasty customer, even before the galloping dementia robbed him of most of the executive function of his brain.

But he no longer wants to be hit with charges of "hypocrisy" and "promise-breaking" when he gets called on his nasty attacks, so he's putting out this cover story to serve as a mythological explanation as to why he will no longer honor the promise to be a "unifier" which he also, previously, did not honor.

Further: When a president is doing well, he can attempt to get perhaps 55-58% of the country on his side. (Usually no more than that.)

When a president is doing not so well, he struggles to keep 46-48% on his side, which is the minimum needed for reelection assuming that some amount of the vote is peeled off on third party candidates.

When a president is doing very, very poorly, and just trying to avoid electoral calamity, he has to struggle to keep 40% on his side -- he has to fight just to keep his 40% of intense partisans committed to him.

That's where Biden is. He has no chance of being reelected, even if he were, hypothetically, to be alive enough to run again in 2024.

His only mission now is playing to his base in the most partisan and nasty way possible, to keep his numbers from falling below the 38% level of support -- which they just might.

And to do that, he'll just do nothing but toss out the reddest of meat and the basest of attacks. He's failing and cannot draw support based on love or success; his only hope is to gin up support based on hatred.

Which works for him, because that's all Biden's ever been good at.

You know, Biden, the Moderate, Centrist Man Who Will Heal This Country and Restore Our Norms, as promised to us by the Truth-Telling True Conservatives of NeverTrump.

And it shows you just how nasty this mother****er is that he hired this incompetent, low-IQ racist to be his spokescreature.

Newly installed White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has a long history of accusing policies and political enemies of "racism," a review of her social media and TV news appearances show.

The Post looked at Jean-Pierre's tweets between 2015 and 2020 and found a staggering 57 instances where she accused people, policies, ideas, or words of being "racist."

And Jean-Pierre accused people and ideas she was opposed to as "racist" at least 43 times in TV appearances too, according to video clipping service Grabien, whose available analysis spanned just the first two years of President Trump's term in office.

...

Jean-Pierre also blasted former Attorney General Jeff Sessions as "a bigot & a racist," who "views brown and black people as less than, not even human," according to a tweet from June 2018.

...

Jean-Pierre, a one-time national spokesperson for the far left group MoveOn, has never been shy about dropping the R word for polices and institutions she found objectionable as well.

"[Fox News] was racist before coronavirus, they are racist during the coronavirus, Fox News will be racist after the coronavirus," Jean-Pierre said during a March 15 appearance on "AM Joy." She also blasted the American Israel Public Affairs Committee as "severely racist," in a Newsweek Op-Ed from 2019.

She has also attacked former President Trump's wall along the southern border as racist, and has suggested the same about voter ID laws.

Jean-Pierre, a public devotee of Critical Race Theory, and its founder, the radical academic Kimberlé Crenshaw, also includes her own country in the broadside. She has embraced the position that "systemic racism" runs through every facet of the United States. The viewpoint is a cornerstone of CRT thinking.

"Racism doesn't have political stripes. It's a systematic problem in this country," she said in a February 2019 tweet. "Systemic racism pervades every part of our society," she added in a tweet from June 2020.

"A tactic of hers has been to automatically reach toward talking points that fire up the Democratic base and don't translate to the majority of the American people," someone who frequently appeared with her on television told The Post.

Reps for Jean-Pierre did not immediately respond to request for comment from The Post.

She's perfect for the Base Appeal Strategy that Biden will be executing from here on out.

By the way, apart from just calling everything "racist" like she has SJW Tourette's, she's an ignorant imbecile:

So, again: She and Biden will get along like a house on fire.

Wish I could be there for all three of these Philosophers together. Regular Algonquin Round Table.

I think the same people that failed to prepare Kamala for success also failed to prepare Karine for success.

And also, of course, failed to prepare Felonyfingers Joe for success.
