Zelensky: "We call on all civilized countries to impose an embargo on Russian oil products, ban Russian citizens from entering your territory and disconnect Russia from SWIFT. We call on NATO, Europe, the United States to close the sky over Ukraine..."

"Close the sky over Ukraine" means "send US and NATO warplanes to shoot down Russian warplanes over Ukraine."

Sort of a lot packed into that euphemism.

Fox News' dykey warslut Jen Griffin just dutifully repeats that minor little ask without commentary or elaboration.

This is FoxNews. This is their objective, rational "News" department, just casually putting it out there that we should start a war with Russia.

Shooting down Russian planes? Oh, I don't mean to quibble, but I think an act of war against Russia might be construed as an act of war against Russia.

" This will mean that you have stopped the war, and your descendants will remember you as heroes. For our part, we will continue to defend our own land, we will not give up and we will destroy our enemies."

I do not hold it against this guy that he is trying to rally the world to save his country, but let's be clear: He is rallying the world to go war with Russia.

I legitimately want to hear the opinions of both the neoliberal and neocons on this. (As if there's a distinction.)

They routinely imply, without expressly committing themselves to, a snarling maximalist bellicosity that is meant to sound like they're ready to go toe-to-toe with Russia.

They do this partly to make up for the fact that they're all social liberals, a political identity associated with softness and femininity. So they play the snarling cigar-chomping Sgt. Rock on all questions of war.

They also take this maximalist posturing so that they can call anyone who questions going to war just for posturing's sake a Traitor and a Russian Agent.

But they now have the chance to actually say if they want to go to war, as they've endlessly implied.

Zelensky just called your bluff, NeverTrump. He wants you to go to war with Russia, like you implied you were ready and willing to do.

This is no longer hypothetical. This is no longer just posturing and preening.

This is real now.

The question is fairly posed.

Are you ready and willing to go to war with Russia?

Are you packing up your gun and your kit to go over and fight yourself?

Or are you against going to war with Russia?

And if you are against going to war with Russia: Are you... are you Russian Agents?

Are you Making a Treason right now?

Spoiler alert: They're not going to answer the question. They're going to continue their snarling maximalist bellicosity, posing as being Up for a Direct Assault on Mother Russia, while continuing to be deceptive and cowardly about stating what their actual intentions or plans are.

They don't really want to fight. They just want to be seen as wanting to fight.

By the way, Italy and Germany have vetoed tough sanctions against Russia, so I don't think they're up for shooting down Russian fighter jets.

I would also say that NeverTrump's boast that "Brandon will united the world against Russia" is yet another deranged lie from these grifter Democrat scumbags.

He can't even get Italy and Germany on-side.

I don't know how, but I'm positive this is all Tucker Carlson's fault. Tucker Carlson sure is doing a piss-poor job of running Joe Biden's State Department.

There are no sanctions on Russian oil or gas sales to the west. Because that would really be Russia putting sanctions on us. Energy accounts for about 30% of Russian GDP; about 60% of exports. And war has made prices go up. So Russia is getting richer from the war, not poorer.

Biden chose Russian/OPEC conflict oil over North American ethical oil when he shut down the KeystoneXL pipeline from Canada -- more than 800,000 barrels/day. (He also stabbed unionized construction/steel workers in the back.)

Trudeau did the same by cancelling the Energy East pipeline that would have taken ethical oil from Alberta to Canada’s largest refinery, in New Brunswick (and then by export to Europe/Asia by tanker). Trudeau preferred to import OPEC/Russian conflict oil.

Yeah but Trump said that Putin was "smart" and that is much more important.
