First World Problems...
We have some really nice cabinets that were built by a friend a long time ago. One of the doors expands and contracts just a bit more than the others, and it doesn't close completely. The magnet that holds the door closed is at the top and the curve is at the bottom, so my idea was to use rare-earth magnets to exert a little more force at the bottom. And damn! It works!
But the finish is quite smooth, and the magnets are metal, so the glue failed eventually. And I glued it back onto the door, but neglected to pay attention to...um...the pesky little complication that magnets have a north and south!
Yup...it repelled, which didn't work nearly as well. But the new glue I used (Gorilla Glue) didn't adhere well at all. So I had to use epoxy. Which worked perfectly.
The stress of choosing which of seemingly hundreds of adhesives we have available was almost too much to tolerate. I eased my angst later in the evening with a large Manhattan (stirred, and with maple syrup as the sweet component).
