Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations have been turned into an "unofficial travel coordination agency," and agents are made to coordinate travel for some illegal immigrants with criminal records, an ICE source told Fox News on Wednesday.

The ICE official was reacting to Fox News' reporting that single adult illegal immigrants are being quickly processed and released into the U.S. in large numbers via a hub in Brownsville, Texas.

Fox News footage showed several federally contracted buses dropping off dozens of mostly male migrants at a parking garage in Brownsville, Texas. Black tarps were set up with a makeshift sign that said "Border Patrol drop-off" above it.

Since then, Fox News has witnessed hundreds of migrants being released into the area in just a few days. From there the migrants are transported via taxis to bus stations and airports.

"Between [releases] and the vaccine mandate the morale is at the lowest,' the source said. "Imagine going to the office to make phone calls all day to coordinate travel for someone who just came in illegally, some of them with criminal records."

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas recently touted the Biden administration's rule that an illegal immigrant's illegal status should not be the basis of an enforcement action against them.

As for whether the American taxpayer is paying the bill for migrant travel, the agent told Fox: "We make contact with the family members and ask them for an address and to please buy a ticket (bus or plane). If they don't, then the NGO buys the ticket and bills the government."

What harm could come from releasing all these lightly-vetted single men with criminal backgrounds while covering it up from the local police?

Oh, I guess something like this would be the harm: A man on the FBIs terror watch list was infiltrated into our country by our own fucking government under cover of darkness, and then stealthily released without a trace.

Michigan investigative journalist Charlie LeDuff told Fox News on Thursday that a Lebanese-born Venezuelan national listed on the FBI's terror watchlist was released into the United States after crossing the border illegally.

According to LeDuff's reporting for Deadline Detroit, Issam Bazzi, who was caught near the Rio Grande River in Texas last November, was released on his own recognizance ahead of his March asylum hearing in Detroit. Bazzi reportedly traveled to the U.S. illegally with his wife and daughter, said LeDuff.

Bazzi got "word that the Biden administration has given asylum to Venezuelans. He, his daughter, and his wife fly to Monterrey, Mexico, hire a smuggler, get rafted over into Brownsville, Texas, wants asylum," LeDuff explained on "Tucker Carlson Tonight."

"He is not only on the terror watch list. The hit comes back high derogatory information affiliated with an unspecified group. Classified information," said LeDuff.

Despite this, Bazzi was reportedly released into the U.S. because his weight deemed him at high risk for COVID, the journalist told Tucker Carlson.

Well, at least the obese terrorist is safe.

The FBI reportedly interrogated Bazzi and opposed his release. Local ICE agents deemed him a "flight risk."

"But in the great wisdom of Washington, this is the new normal," LeDuff said.

A lot of this is just down-low stuff that we don't tell people because what we don't want to do is attract attention. We don't want the media. Like we don't even know where we're going when they tell us."

One of the contractors told the officer later in the video: "I get the whole secrecy and all that s--t but this is even above my f--king pay grade . . . the f- -k, you know what I mean?"

"And why? You know why?" Hamborsky asked.

"You know why, look who's in office. That's why, come on," the contractor said.

"But what's the big secret?" the cop asked.

"You know why. Because if this gets out, the government is betraying the American people," the contractor said.
