One of the least credible people in the universe -- behind only Schiff, Farwell, and Grandpa Felonyfingers -- Charles Schumer is trotting out a Recovered Memory of January 6th.

Schumer said: "A police officer in a big flak jacket and large rifle grabbed me firmly by the collar, like this. I'll never forget that grip. He said to me, 'Senator, we got to get out of here. You're in danger.' We walked out the Senate chamber door, made a right turn, went through another door." But he still wasn't out of danger: "I was within 30 feet of these nasty, racist, bigoted insurrectionists. Had someone had a gun, had two of them blocked off the door, who knows what would have happened? I was told later that one of them reportedly said, 'There's the big Jew. Let's get him.' Bigotry against one is bigotry against all. And I saw something that I had been told later never happened before -- the Confederate flag flying in this dear Capitol. That's just one of many searing, grotesque images of that unimaginable, most un-American day."

Harrowing indeed, but it's noteworthy that the first mention of this tale didn't come until over two months after the alleged insurrection.

We just got Swatted

Always seems to happen under Democrat Justice Departments. When the DOJ is in friendly hands.

Here's a clip of the podcast as the cops come in, though, spoiler warning, it's not super-dramatic. The cops are not crazy or anything and you don't even see them, because the cameras are pointed at Pool and his guests.

They have Brandon Tatum on who is the right guest to have on during a swatting, because he is an ex-cop and in fact ex-SWAT and is able to add some sense and perspective to a bunch of dopes who are spiraling with emotion. I mean, I totally understand being upset about cops being in your house, but when the cops are misled into believing that there have been two shootings in your house, they have to, you know, check things. It's not their fault. They're in a bad situation, too. Not as bad as the swatted person, but they don't want to enter a potential shooting situation.

"Joe Biden's voice is now the voice of desperation and despair," Trump said. "His handlers gave him that speech to read yesterday because they know the unprecedented failures of his presidency and the left-wing extremism of the Pelosi-Schumer Congress have destroyed the Democrat Party."

Trump noted that despite the left's attempts to push false narratives such as the Russia collusion hoax and the Jan. 6 "insurrection," "the American People are seeing right through their phony media event."

"The people see right through that sham. They see a cynical politician who ran for office promising unity who is now doing the most divisive thing possible--slandering his political opponents as domestic terrorists, just like insecure dictators do in communist countries," Trump said.

He also noted how Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is using the Jan. 6 Committee to target her political opponents.

"The American People also see that January 6 has become the Democrats' excuse and pretext for the most chilling assault on the civil liberties of American citizens in generations," Trump said. "It is being used to justify outrageous attacks on free speech, widespread censorship, de-platforming, calls for increased domestic surveillance, appalling abuse of political prisoners, labeling opponents of COVID lockdowns and mandates as national security threats, and even ordering the FBI to target parents who object to the radical indoctrination of their children in school."

I'm old enough to remember when violent riots at the White House were not only no big deal, but the media then giggled about antifa and BLM having put Trump in enough fear that the Secret Service made him go to the White House bunker.

It's heartwarming to see the usually anti-police media embrace the Jan. 6 cops with so many sympathetic pieces. I'm sure I missed all the MSM stories about the 2,000+ cops assaulted during the George Floyd riots, not to mention the small business owners who lost their livelihoods
