A Big Apple health inspector carrying out random COVID compliance checks was refused entry to a Staten Island bar — because she couldn’t show her own proof of vaccination.

A former California deputy was sentenced on Wednesday for throwing away a urine test that proved a detained driver wasn’t on drugs – before trying to have her jailed anyway on suspicion she was high on methamphetamine.

Richard Charles Barrios III, 29, an ex-deputy with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, will spend a year behind bars for the stunt at his police station in November 2019, according to prosecutors.

He pleaded guilty in November to destroying physical matter.

On top of it all, Epps was seen leading key people and managing key aspects of the initial breach of the Capitol grounds himself.

Several BuzzFeed staffers have been infected with Covid-19 following the company’s Holiday party in Manhattan last week, according to a report from Insider.

Three BuzzFeed employees who tested positive following the party told Insider that they were vaccinated and received their booster shots prior to contracting Covid-19 at the event, and are experiencing mild symptoms.

The outbreak also comes as Covid-19 cases have risen in New York City due to the Omicron variant.

Democratic Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal said in an interview on Friday that he regretted attending a communist award show last week.

The senator spoke at the Amsted Award ceremony on Dec. 11, where he honored the recipients with an honorary certificate. Speakers at the event regularly encouraged attendees to register with the Communist Party.

"My understanding was that this ceremony was strictly a labor event,’' Blumenthal said Friday in a telephone interview with the Hartford Courant. "If I had known the details, I wouldn’t have gone. ... Let me just say very emphatically, I’m a Democrat and a strong believer in American capitalism. I have been consistently a Democrat and a strong supporter and believer in American capitalism.’'

Two men who bought a National Lottery scratch card using stolen debit card details and then tried to claim the £4m jackpot they revealed have been jailed.

Jon Watson, of Bolton, and Mark Goodram went to London to beg in 2019 and bought the winning card in Clapham.

They were found out when claiming the prize, as they revealed they did not have a bank account, despite using a debit card to buy the item.

Admitting fraud at Bolton Crown Court, they were both jailed for 18 months.

The court heard the men, aged 34 and 38, travelled from Bolton to London on 22 April 2019.

A homeowner and a Florida Sheriff are part of Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

“’I’m proud of our homeowner for defending himself. It’s called a ‘Castle Doctrine.’ He has the right to protect himself and his home from unknown intruders,’ said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.” That’s not the kind of statement that’s usually issued by someone in law enforcement following a shooting, but it’s certainly refreshing.

Sheriff Judd was talking about the actions of a Lakeland area homeowner who shot Steven Stillwell after he threw a flower pot through a glass French door in the middle of the afternoon to break into the home.
