Woke Salvation Army Struggling For Donations

Last month, news broke that the Salvation Army decided to ask its donors to apologize for their whiteness.

The Salvation Army has followed the lead of other woke organizations in entering the establishment media-manufactured race war and is asking donors to offer a "sincere apology" for White supremacy and White-dominated culture, as detailed in a resource guide "developed to guide The Salvation Army family in gracious discussions about overcoming the damage racism has inflicted upon our world."

The Salvation Army's International Social Justice Commission crafted the guidance, which seeks to urge donors to "understand and acknowledge the definitions of race and racism and how the social construct of race has affected society" and ultimately "lament, repent and apologize for biases or racist ideologies held and actions committed."

The resource guide itself contains "five sessions" to "help delve into the topic of racism and the Church." Those include entire sections titled."Self-Care for People of Color," "What is Whiteness?," "Lamenting and Repenting -- a Conversation Guide," among others.

Basically: Shut up and take your lecture, bigots.

Oh, but also: Give us your money, bigots.

Who do they think they are, public school teachers?

And now? Donations are way down, and the situation is "dire," the Woke Propaganda organization now says.

Not only is the nonprofit organization short on donations, they also are in desperate need of bell ringers to staff the red kettles seen at businesses around the country.

"The situation is dire, and we are asking our generous supporters in the region to donate to the virtual Northwest Red Kettle as well as make donations at every physical kettle in whatever way you can," said Foley.

A similar dire toy shortage faces the NJ Salvation Army.

The organization claim the reason people are closing their wallets and declining to donate toys or volunteer their time is exhaustion due to covid and worry about future employment.

But those things were true in 2020 as well, and as John Nolte points out,
the Salvation Army's donations are down from last year in many parts of the country.

And last year was a full pandemic year with no vaccine. (Well, the vaccine had just been announced the day after the election. What mysteriously coincidental timing.)

Maybe there's an unacknowledged factor contributing to donors' unwillingness to give as they'd given in years past.

Nolte writes:

Hey, I'm a big believer in forgiveness and second chances, but I'm not going to fund an organization that spreads hate, racism, and division. And if you want forgiveness, it helps to ask for it, which the Salvation Army has not done. Instead, it's claiming that all the criticism was "false."

That is what they told donors they wanted most of all, right? So they should be happy with it.

I'm not happy that a charitable organization has less money to give to charity, but then, I'm not really convinced that charitable organizations give all that much money to charity, anyway.

But one must always observe the Golden Rule of fundraising: Don't spit in a donor's face while your begging him for a hand-out.

And one must also observe the Iron Law of Woke: Get woke, go broke.

And I think the good of the Salvation Army losing money exceeds the bad. At some point -- and this is going to cause some harms here and there along the way, and cause us to refrain from doing things we'd like to do -- we have to say No, We Will Not Stand For This Any Longer.

Otherwise, this will go on forever.

It is a fact, confirmed by every poll and survey conducted over the past fifty years, that conservatives are vastly, vastly more charitable than progressives.

Progressives think their charity comes in the form of "voting for the right people" and "giving lectures to the ignorant" and just "living as a perfect example to the sinful world."

The Woke Salvation Army, now dominated by leftwing progressives, should turn its fundraising efforts exclusively to extracting money from its very ungenerous leftwing kin.

Good luck drawing blood from that miserly stone.

Or perhaps they could confess error and offer their own apologies.

But the Woke never apologize. They're God's Perfect Avenging Angels on Earth, sent here to punish the wicked and set the world ablaze with purifying fire.

16:53 CRT discussed. According to her, our racist, "implicit bias" has prevented diversity in leadership. She wants affirmative action policies to produce equity / diversity.

27:25 "Why should I be sorry ?" She tried to use a story in the Bible to show why whites should lament and weep over our past injustices. She goes on to talk about Nehemiah's "privilege" and how he repented as an example we should emulate.
