National School Board Association: Okay Maybe We Shouldn't Have Called Parents Domestic Terrorists

On Thursday, the Free Beacon has reported that the NSBA colluded with the White House to produce its Parental Domestic Terrorism letter. The White House specifically asked them to include "incidents" which would justify the White House siccing the DOJ and FBI on Republicans -- again.

The White House told them what they wanted from a what was supposed to look like an outside plea for help.

It was all a fix. All a set-up. Yet another case of The Regime faking up reasons to use the immense and terrifying power of the federal investigatory agencies against domestic political enemies.

The National School Board Association now says: "Was that wrong?"

Possibly again in collusion with the White House -- which I speculate has now asked them to write a second letter, climbing down from the previous position, in hopes that this will mollify the country and end the latest of Joe Biden's many, many crises -- the National School Board Association says that maybe the language they used (suggested by the White House) might have been a scoetch too strong.

In a memo to state affiliates, the NSBA board of directors cited the Sept. 29 letter to President Biden from NSBA President Viola M. Garcia and interim executive director and CEO Chip Slaven that raised the specter of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.

"On behalf of NSBA, we regret and apologize for the letter," said the NSBA memo. "There was no justification for some of the language included in the letter. We should have had a better process in place to allow for consultation on a communication of this significance. We apologize also for the strain and stress this situation has caused you and your organizations."

Rep. Elise Stefanik, New York Republican, responded to the memo by asking Mr. Garland to "immediately reverse the FBI's targeting of parents as 'domestic terrorists,'" while Sen. Josh Hawley, Missouri Republican, called on Mr. Garland to resign.

"It was a dangerous abuse of authority that has badly compromised the Justice Dept's integrity and Garland's. He should resign," tweeted Mr. Hawley.

Via Ed Morrissey at Hot Air, Axios writes that the McAuliffe campaign is in "panic" mode.

In the closing weeks of their closely watched Virginia gubernatorial race, Terry McAuliffe is going after Glenn Youngkin on unlikely ground -- public education -- as he tries to reverse the Republican's surprisingly strong challenge.

You don't fight to take a hill your opponent has already seized and fortified unless that hill is being used to demolish you.

Between the Lines: The race in Virginia is tight, and it was clear the McAuliffe campaign has taken on an air of tension -- bordering on panic.

The Associated Press discusses the bathroom r4pe controversy that is hurting McAuliffe.

Or do they? Note how they avoid telling readers what the controversy is about.

In a speech in Northern Virginia's suburbs last week, the Republican candidate for governor highlighted the murky case of a student who allegedly committed sex crimes in two area schools. He said the incidents, which have sparked community outrage, are the result of failed Democratic leadership.

Murky? What is murky about it? The student is not yet convicted but that doesn't make it "murky," unless all crimes in which the primary suspect is not yet convicted are "murky."

The AP is trying to suggest that there's a great deal of confusion about what happened.

There isn't.

And note they absolutely refuse to state that the alleged r4pist was a "boy in a skirt" and that this girl's violation is a direct consequence of permitting boys in skirts into bathrooms, where girls are vulnerable and isolated.

The AP deliberately censors the politically-relevant details of the case to make it sound like Youngkin is just baselessly blaming the left for random sexual assaults.

"What other tragedy awaits Virginia's children?" an atypically grim-faced Youngkin asked from the podium, flanked by a collection of parents and schoolchildren.

...

Youngkin's final-days focus on sexual predators in schools, hardly a widespread issue, will test the limits of his suburban outreach and provide lessons for Republicans aiming to retake control of Congress next year.

Police shootings of black men are "hardly a widespread issue" but I don't remember the hyperprogressives of AP trying to play those Local Crime Stories down.

Meanwhile, campaigning for McAuliffe, Barack Obama claims that teaching kids anti-white racism and anti-male hatred, and allowing boys to trespass into intimate spaces in which girls are alone and vulnerable, is a "trumped up culture war."

As always, f*** this ***hole.
