Yeah...whatever. Technically it is a wonderful painting, but I think many renaissance artists have done equal, if not better work.
And the contortions that one has to go through to see it in person are absolutely, 100%, not worth the trouble.
Oh...it's smaller than you think! In this case, size matters!
Full disclosure: I am perhaps a bit biased against this painting because I was forced...at the point of a gun or a bad grade...to read a short story called "The Giaconda Smile," by Aldous Huxley. It was an okay story, but not nearly as good as was supposed.
