The Lambda Variant Isn't Just Contagious, It Also Seems to be Vaccine-Resistant

As Biden floods the country with infected illegals.

And note, of course, that the Lambda variant is prevalent in South America.

As the US struggles to suppress the rapidly advancing coronavirus Delta variant, new evidence has emerged that the latest Lambda mutation -- ravaging parts of South America -- won't be slowed by vaccines.

In a July 28 report appearing on bioRxiv, where the study awaits peer review prior to getting published, researchers in Japan are sounding the alarm on the C.37 variant, dubbed Lambda. And it's proven just as virulent as Delta thanks to a similar mutation making them even more contagious.

The strain has been contained in 26 countries, including substantial outbreaks in Chile, Peru, Argentina and Ecuador.

"Notably, the vaccination rate in Chile is relatively high; the percentage of the people who received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine was [about] 60%," the authors write.

"Nevertheless, a big COVID-19 surge has occurred in Chile in Spring 2021, suggesting that the Lambda variant is proficient in escaping from the antiviral immunity elicited by vaccination," they warn.

The Lambda variant is thought to have emerged somewhere in South America between November and December 2020, and has since turned up in countries throughout Europe, North America and a few more isolated cases in Asia, according to GISAID data.

The city of Laredo, Texas, has refused to take in migrants who have been bused in from elsewhere on the border after discovering 40% of them tested positive for the coronavirus, according to two local government officials.

"That was very high," Laredo Mayor Pete Saenz said in an interview, referring to the infection rate among migrants dropped off by the Border Patrol last week. Laredo health authority, Dr. Victor Trevino, confirmed the numbers.

The 40% infection rate is the highest known positivity rate along the U.S.-Mexico border. Last week, McAllen, Texas, reported a 15% positivity rate among migrants released from custody.

Since late spring, Border Patrol officials in the Rio Grande Valley region have transported thousands of migrant families to Laredo because shelters were less inundated than those in McAllen. Migrants were immediately tested at the shelter upon being admitted. In that time, coronavirus positivity rates among migrants arriving in Laredo rose from 4% in April to 40% in August.

Laredo does not have a pediatric intensive care unit. With several families arriving in Laredo recently, city officials worried young children would not get emergency care if they were forced to quarantine.

Peter Doocey asked Jen Psaki about Biden's own role in promoting vaccine hesitancy. She danced around the claim and said he's always been pro-vaccine, ignoring his highly-politicized anti-vax claims when running against Trump.

Note that Biden's key constituency was blacks.

And note that blacks are the least immunized group in America.

Not that you'd know that from the media's constant attacks on White Trump-Voting Christians.

I didn't realize how very, very forward-leaning Biden was in his anti-vax propaganda.

Meanwhile, a new urgency in keeping the border wide open -- there is an outbreak of the ebola-like Marburg virus in Africa.

A man who died in West Africa has tested positive for the Ebola-like Marburg virus -- with health officials scrambling to stop the killer disease before it can "spread far and wide," the World Health Organization said.

The unidentified man fell sick with "fever, headache, fatigue [and] abdominal pain" last month in Gueckedou in Guinea, close to the borders with Sierra Leone and Liberia, WHO officials announced Monday.

He died on Aug. 2, with tests finally showing that he died from Marburg, a "highly infectious disease that causes hemorrhagic fever" -- and has a fatality rate of up to 88 percent, the WHO said.

Marburg "is in the same family as the virus that causes Ebola," which killed at least 11,325 people in the 2014-2016 epidemic that started in the same part of Guinea. The country was only recently declared Ebola-free after a brief flare-up earlier this year killed 12.

The media keeps inventing falsehoods, like the completely-false claim that over 5000 children in Texas are hospitalized for covid.

Why do the social media monopolies never ding the leftwing press for covid misinformation?

Recently, the New York Times and Washington Post, in an effort to stir up Panic Clicks, spread misinformation.

Some of you might agree with the general claim that the vaccines aren't as effective as once claimed, but bear in mind you'd be censored and banned for saying such things.

But the Washington Post and New York Times aren't.

The social media monopolies have taken the definition of "misinformation" to mean "disagreeing with the government's current claims about covid.

So why are the establishment leftwing propaganda organs permitted to spread "misinformation" that would get a Serf banned?
