Biden's Approval Falls as Fauci Warns of the Covid Caseload More Than Doubling;
Meanwhile, the Lambda Variant Continues Being Escorted Into the US and Seeded Among Small Towns Throughout the USA

Biden's approval for his handling of the covid virus is already falling.

Approval of President Biden's handling of the coronavirus has slipped in recent weeks, according to a new poll.

The survey, conducted by Quinnipiac University, found that 53 percent of respondents approved of Biden's handling of COVID-19. While still a majority approval, that number is down more than 10 points from May, when 65 percent of those surveyed approved of the job he was doing with regards to the pandemic.

Forty percent of those in last week's poll said they disapprove of the president's handling of the coronavirus, which was up 10 points from the 30 percent who said they disapproved in May.

A CBS News and YouGov poll conducted just a few weeks ago in mid-July found that 66 percent of polled adults in the U.S. approved of Biden's handling of COVID-19. Twenty-six percent of respondents said the president was doing a "very good" job at handling the pandemic, while 40 percent said he was doing a "somewhat good" job.

Sixteen percent of those polled at that time said the president's job on COVID-19 was "somewhat bad," and 18 percent rated it as "very bad."

So that's a big drop in just a few weeks.

The Cook Political Report notes that Biden's overall approval rate has fallen between three and ten points in the past couple of weeks.

A new analysis by the Cook Political Report showed that President Joe Biden's approval ratings have been dropping according to multiple polls out this week, due to his handling of Coronavirus and the economy and inflation.

According to the analysis published Friday, Biden’s job approval rating has dropped between three and ten points since April. A Marist poll showed a ten point drop since April, while a Monmouth poll showed a nine point drop since then. Two other polls, from CNBC and Quinnipiac showed smaller drops.

The Quinnipiac and CNBC polls showed double-digit number drops on his handling of the Coronavirus -- a 22 point and 19 point drop respectively. But the CNBC poll also showed that over the last three months, 14 percent more Americans say they are pessimistic about the current state of the economy -- from 37 percent to a majority 51 percent. The poll showed the last time this many Americans were pessimistic about the economy was 2015. The CNBC and Quinnipiac polls showed double-digit drops in Biden's handling of the economy -- ten and 13 points respectively.

So Professor Braniac is already losing support, based on both covid and the sagging economy. (And runaway illegal immigration and inflation and spending.)

So of course out comes Malignant Kobold Anthony Fauci to warn that covid cases may more than double from the current 84,000 up to 200,000 cases per day by the fall.

As of Tuesday, the seven-day rolling average of daily infections nationwide was more than 84,000, up from about 14,000 a month earlier, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The record high for new cases confirmed in a single day was 295,800 on Jan. 7.

"Remember, just a couple of months ago, we were having about 10,000 cases a day," Fauci said. "I think you're likely going to wind up somewhere between 100,000 and 200,000 cases."

The warning comes as authorities in South Korea confirm its first two cases of the "delta plus" variant, also known as AY.1 -- a relative of the main delta strain that experts fear could be even more transmissible and potentially resistant to antibody treatment.

What may end Biden's presidency, however, is not delta or delta-plus, but the variant that Sundown Joe is almost entirely responsible for -- the lambda variant, which arose in South America and is of course now spreading in the US thanks to Biden's open borders, seed-the-country-with-the-world's-diseases policies.

"Lambda has mutations that are concerning but this variant remains quite rare in the US despite being around for several months," Dr. Preeti Malani, chief health officer in the division of infectious diseases at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, wrote in an email on Friday.

"It's difficult to know for certain how transmissible Lambda is and how well vaccines work. So far, it seems that Lambda is more transmissible than the original SARS-CoV-2 virus," which is similar to Delta and other variants, wrote Malani, an expert with the Infectious Diseases Society of America. SARS-CoV-2 is the name of the coronavirus that causes Covid-19.

We'll see if it remains rare -- given that 7000 covid-infected illegals were permitted to pass through a single Texas border town.

Don't worry, though: The Washington Post is already spinning for Biden, asserting that of course the 7000 infected illegals aren't causing the spread of the virus.

Nonsensically -- and without any actual argument -- they insist that the only thing that's spreading the virus are the unvaccinated, though they elide the fact that the vaccinated can only become sick when exposed to the virus.

Like, for example, by coming in contact with the 7000 infected illegals who were ushered into the country through a single border town.

Most of the above via The Hill's Morning Rising, which actually has two conservative women hosting it this episode.

They also make the point that the Biden Administration, and the liberal Ruling Class generally, has shifted the emphasis from deaths and hospitalizations to mere cases.

Corrected: As Rhomboid points out, the Ruling Class has always been pushing case numbers as the main metric. I should have said, as the ladies from The Hill video above did, that initially, that cases used to be correlated to deaths and hospitalizations, but now the number of cases is almost entirely decoupled from deaths. There is a linkage to hospitalizations, but that link is weaker now too.

So while there was some reason previously to look at case numbers as an primary metric, that's not the situation any longer. But they're still pushing case numbers, because that's the better number for panic-spreading.

San Francisco, for example, reimposed a mask mandate for all indoor public settings because covid cases rose, even as covid deaths fell... to zero.

Government statistics show that 93 percent of San Francisco residents over the age of 65 are at least partially vaccinated (86 percent are fully vaccinated), while 84 percent of all residents over 12 are at least partially vaccinated.

...

Fortunately, though the delta variant may indeed be a more contagious opponent, it’s also proving to be a less deadly one, as data show the rise in cases has not been accompanied with a corresponding surge in mortality. Nationally, average daily deaths remain near pandemic lows at about 350 (per the 7-day rolling average), about half of what it was in mid-April and about one-tenth of the pandemic peak reached in January.

This is particularly true of San Francisco, where COVID mortality has all but disappeared. In fact, the current 7-day rolling average COVID death count is zero.

So San Francisco is taking a "zeroism" stance on covid -- all restrictions and lockdowns and mandates are permissible -- NECESSARY! -- until we get covid transmissions down to zero.

Okay.

Now do AIDS.

Not game, huh? That intrudes on a freedom that's actually important to the Democrat Party, huh?
