The Morning Report - 7/29/21

Good morning, kids. Breaking early this morning is the news of a massive earthquake that struck off the coast of the Alaskan peninsula with a magnitude of 8.2. That is an insanely powerful quake. Considering the '94 Northridge Quake was 6.7, and the San Francisco quake in '89 was 6.9, if the epicenter of this one had been anywhere near a populated area, the destruction would have been catastrophic to say the least. Looks like we dodged a big bullet, but that said, the Pacific plate is in motion.

Now back to our regularly scheduled meshugas, where the action seems to be shifting from "The Crying Shame," aka the January 6th Commission Hearings, Show Trial and Peep Show to the latest edicts from the junta concerning the Chinese Lung AIDS. The CDC - Center for Deranged Communists - has decreed masks for children come the fall when they go back to school, despite the fact that children are the least vulnerable in either contracting or spreading this disease, that wearing a mask to prevent either is as effective as a chain link fence in stopping mosquitos, that prolonged mask use is actually a health hazard and that the study these inept schmucks based this rule on was rejected by a peer review. This meesekeit quack Rochelle Walensky is also pushing children to get vaccinated despite the fact that as stated they are at least risk and that the vaccines are causing serious side effects, up to and including death, with that number in the tens of thousands now.

Now Joey Bivalve, the demented fraud with the crack-addict son is mandating both masks and now vaccines for all government employees. Sooner or later that means all of us inmates in Gulag Ameri-Kolyma:

This is about as close to a nationwide mandate that Biden will go. But the president's announcement will probably open the floodgates for other employers to mandate vaccines as a requirement for employment.

Surprisingly, Biden will not impose the mandate on members of the armed forces, although he certainly has the authority to do so. He will outline how the Department of Defense may seek to approach the issue, a source told CNN. Biden is already casting blame for the pandemic on the unvaccinated. . .

. . . Just where is that skepticism about vaccines coming from? Biden and the Democrats invented vaccine skepticism back when it was cool to be skeptical about any vaccine created under the leadership of Donald Trump. But that record of dubiousness is being cleansed by Democratic allies in the media who are well aware that Biden and the Democrats' previous skepticism about vaccines during the Trump era will come back to haunt them if they take off after vaccine skeptics today.

Matt Taibbi is about as liberal left as you can get, but along with Glenn Greenwald and to a lesser extent Naomi Wolff, he's at least intellectually honest in his reportage, making this trio about the only honest journalists on that side of the divide. And his pulling no punches in casting the blame for this entire fiasco underscores that.

This bipartisan love-in took place a few days after David Frum, famed Bush speechwriter and creator of the "Axis of Evil" slogan, wrote a column in The Atlantic titled "Vaccinated America Has Had Enough." In it, Frum wondered:

"Does Biden's America have a breaking point? Biden's America produces 70 percent of the country's wealth -- and then sees that wealth transferred to support Trump's America. Which is fine; that's what citizens of one nation do for one another . . . [But] the reciprocal part of the bargain is not being upheld . . . Will Blue America ever decide it's had enough of being put medically at risk by people and places whose bills it pays? Check yourself. Have you?"

I'm vaccinated. I think people should be vaccinated. But this latest moral mania -- and make no mistake about it, the "pandemic of the unvaccinated" p.r. campaign is the latest in a ceaseless series of such manias, dating back to late 2016 -- lays bare everything that's abhorrent and nonsensical in modern American politics, beginning with the no-longer-disguised aristocratic mien of the Washington consensus.

If you want to convince people to get a vaccine, pretty much the worst way to go about it is a massive blame campaign, delivered by sneering bluenoses who have a richly deserved credibility problem with large chunks of the population, and now insist they're owed financially besides. . .

. . . The news landscape has become [Thomas] Frank's dreaded "utopia of scolding," with every screen full of finger-wagging Rahms and Brian Stelters telling us how "fed up" they are with others' inadequacy. This approach not only will fail, it already has, over and over.

Now, this new vaccine debate has been amped to 11. The universal consensus of the "Powerhouse Roundtable" types is that it's time to start opening the whoop-ass cans on the vaccine-hesitant, yanking services and civil liberties from those murderous holdouts who are, the president tells us, "killing people."

If you can get past a couple of digs at Trump and some of his perceptions on taxation and economics, he hits a very crucial nail on the head with these self-styled "elitists" who now lord over us, and are getting more and more strident and, heh, reactionary, as everything they touch turns to shit and then cast the blame un the unwashed masses for noticing and objecting. They're not even hiding it anymore. Lanky hunk of toxic piss Bill DeBolshevik, who is finally on his way out of Gracie Mansion, lets the cat out of the bag. When it comes to vaccines "the voluntary phase is over."

There is a reason for all of this. To repeat my assertion, with the nation and all their schemes and plans are either exposed or collapsing in on them, as we all protest our abuse and degradation, the only thing they have going for them is to generate fear and panic as a distraction. I think at this stage, people are fed up with it and they have gone to the well too many times.

They used the fear of the unknown, in this case a disease that was pimped as the Andromeda Strain of Black Deaths - excuse me - Non-White Death - to help them seize power in 2020. Now they are using it to maintain control 18 months later. That's all this is. All over the world, especially in Europe where the American Left has always wanted us to become, people are taking to the streets and raging against the Macrons, Merkels and Johnsons for keeping them chained to a collective radiator.

You want to talk about fear of a pandemic, the junta is scared shitless that we the people of We The People on this side of the pond are going to catch that fever. And the only cure, for them anyway, is control. Total, absolute and unquestioning.

On an unrelated note, I wanted to talk about this multi-trillion dollar infrastructure fiasco that as of late yesterday was moving forward thanks to the usual gang of scum and criminals in the GOP-e, Collins, Portman, Pee-Air Defecto et al, that sold us down the river for more economic collapse, leftist payoffs and liberty-destroying madness. That said, it seems that it's on the rocks, ironically because of both individuals like the Senator from the state of Kinky Boots Krysten Sinema and more significantly the hardcore Maoists like Titty Caca AOC and PayPal Jayapal.

In the old days, the GOP-e would put up a phony resistance and then compromise by giving the Dems 75-90% of what they want and then declare a victory for conservative principles while being bipartisan (vomit!). This time, the Maoists are not accepting even a kabuki/token compromise. Their intransigence in demanding they get 100% of what they want might actually torpedo this disaster. So, rock on "Squad!" Meanwhile, in another part of the forest, Malig-Nancy Pelosi is taking a stand against tuition bailouts, meaning going against Biden, Schumer and Warren. Hmmm, I smell Machiavellian doings behind the scenes there.
