THE NEW PARADIGM

See, everything has to be shoehorned to fit into the new paradigm (kind of like Earth Day founder and psychopath Ira Einhorn savagely beat his ex-girlfriend Holly Maddux to death and stuffed her body into a trunk he kept in a closet). They had to do the same thing during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Chinese musicians, for example, were forbidden to perform western works such as Mozart's Violin Concerto #3, but perhaps they could get away with it if they claimed the title was "W. A. Mozart Is Thinking About the Glorious Chairman Mao."

Everything had to be about Chairman Mao.

Something similar is happening here. The new paradigm to understand American history is: slavery! Or, if you will: slavery and racism! Or even: Racism and slavery! Whatever. The point is, everything is going to have to be rethought, including the constitution. Not that that's new. For years 'woke' scholars have been claiming that the constitution was written by white guys for white guys, but now it's time to drill down a bit into the Bill of Rights.

The Second Amendment is the most logical place to start, since it's the amendment that is most odious to 'woke' sensibilities. The are others, but that one ia probably the most offensive. But I think we can help out here and contribute to 'woke' scholarship by going through the Bill of Rights amendment by amendment, making all of them about: Racism and slavery!

So let's begin. We've already got our conclusion, now, like good 'woke' scholars, let's look for evidence to support it:

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

This amendment specifically protects segregated churches from government interference and any legal reform efforts. And petitioning the government for "redress of grievances" is obviously a reference to recovering runaway slaves that have fled to another state.

Amendment II

A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

I'm waiting for Carol Anderson's book to come out on this one. I'm sure it will be stunning and brave.

Amendment III

No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

I admit this one is a toughie, but ackshully, 'soldier' is most likely code word for slave or POC, which means they can't be forced to live in your house or neighborhood. And this is how the practice of redlining got its start.

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The phrase "secure in their persons" is an obvious reference to slaves, as it listed right next to other forms of property, that is, "houses, papers, and effects." So this amendment could be called the 'hands off my slaves' amendment.

Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

So a slave couldn't bring up a charge against his or her master, or any other white guy, without going through a whole bunch of hoops to accomplish it. Kind of like allowing blacks to vote but then making them take some kind of poll test where they had to recite the alphabet backwards in Latin, or something equally impossible. This amendment was specifically written to deny justice to brown people.

Amendment VI

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

More hoops. Also, it guaranteed the right of a white guy to be tried by a jury of other white guys who would undoubtedly vote for acquittal most of the time.

Amendment VII

In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

$20 was the average price of a slave on the open market, so clearly in disputes involving slaves or selling slaves, the principle and practice of slave trafficking would be protected.

Amendment VIII

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

This guarantees that white guys could pretty much get away with killing black people and stealing they stuff, and not have to worry too much about having to pay much for it. Their fines and penalties would be low. It says so right here in the constitution.

Amendment IX

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

'People' is code for 'lynch mobs'. So this amendment gave the green light to mass lynchings without fear of any sort of governmental interference.

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

This is another "don't mess with my plantation" amendment, put in to appease Southern slaveowners, thus firmly embedding the principles of racism and slavery into the very fabric of the constitution.

See how easy that was? Doing write-ups for all of the amendments took me about forty-five minutes, and that includes formatting the text. And once I got on a roll, I could see the endless possibilities for reworking pretty much everything. And this is why, I think, academia is cranking out 'woke' scholars like they're coming off of an assembly line. It's so easy , anyone, and I mean anyone, can do it.

5/21 – SB’s mother was just diagnosed with cancer; they will get the full results on Wednesday. He requests prayers for her and for his father.
6/16 Update – The diagnosis is that the cancer can be held back and even reduced with simple medication. That will work for a year or two with no reduced quality of life; after that we (and the doctors) don’t know.

5/21 – gp sends thanks to God for healing Jimmy D from Covid!

5/24 – Katya, the designated driver sends an update on her cancer treatments. She has finished her 33 rounds of radiation with minimal side effects and is starting to feel great. This week she stats a chemo pill for the next 4 months. She also will continue to receive Keytruda infusion treatments every 3 weeks. As far as she knows the cancer is gone but will not know for sure until she receives the final scan. She sends her thanks for the love and prayers.
6/21 Update – Katya says she is doing well but dealing with a myriad of minor but annoying side effects: fatigue, sleeplessness, erratic heartbeat, hot flashes, increased appetite, water retention, etc. They are also treating minor lymphedema. She is taking her second round of the chemo pill and tapering off the massive dose of prednisone. She will finish Keytruda infusions at the end of September. She says “thank you all for your continued love and prayers”.

6/1 – Tonypete asks for prayers for his lifelong friend who is approaching the end stages of ALS. For a myriad of reasons, the friend could use monumental amounts of prayer and petitions for his immortal soul.

6/2 – Pookysgirl requests prayers for Pooky. His surgery in mid-March to fix his nose was successful, but it seems to have “woken up” his PTSD. He has a great therapist, but needs to be approved for SSDI, and Pookysgirl needs to get approved for the VA Caregiver program so she can spend more time taking care of him.

6/2 – grammie winger requests prayers for a close family member who is in a dire situation, and in need of God’s great mercy and lovingkindness. The situation is urgent and awful, and their family cannot fix it on their own. They need God’s wisdom, strength, and most of all, mercy.

6/9 – Inogame sends this prayer of thanks and a request: On Feb 4th this year my wife and I got news that she miscarried who would have been our 3rd child. We had just discovered her pregnancy; it was very early. We had just started to get excited about it when she woke up bleeding. We were both devastated, and I was on the blog that day and needed to talk about it and there was some great support that I really needed at the time. I'm not sure this is the right forum or not but if I may I'd like to thank, squid_hunt, Bozo Conservative....outlaw in America, The Central Scrutinizer, Insomniac - Zhou Bai-Den Is Not My Chairman, redridinghood, FenelonSpoke, Nora, vmom Fiat justitia ruat caelum, bonhomme, Roland THTG, Synova, AnnaS, Mary Poppins' Practically Perfect Piercing, RondinellaMamma who would like to have her country back, please., Pug Mahon, Confuzzled, CN loves Biden, Biden is the greatest, josephistan, BackwardsBoy, who did not vote for this shit, Ladyl, RedMindBlueState, banana Dream, It's me donna and NaCly Dog. 6/16 – Agamemnon asks for prayers for God’s comfort and peace for the family of a young man named Levi, who played baseball with Agamemnon’s sons, who passed away from leukemia. He was 20 years old, a bright and cheerful guy who, despite the challenges of battling cancer, over the last 10 months, inspired and encouraged others.

6/16 – Joe Mama needs prayers for healing and avoidance of bankruptcy. He went to the ER on 5/27, where they discovered 4 DVTs (blood clots) in his right leg plus another in his left leg, and a pulmonary embolism. He’s had 3 more trips to ER for complications since then. They also incidentally discovered degenerative disk disease in two vertebrae on of the CT scans of his lungs.

6/18 – Ladyl requests prayers for Danielle and Kristin, who lost their home during Covid, but are now both working. Kristin has vasculitis, which is causing nerve and neurological issues.

6/16 – Lee Also requests prayers for her friend, a lung transplant recipient we prayed for at the end of last year. He was doing well with the transplant but recently got an infection. He’s back in the hospital and getting tested and prodded. He’s not doing well at all.
6/24 Update – Lee Also’s friend passed away on 6/24.

6/26 – NaughtyPine needs prayers. Both of her parents have been diagnosed with cancer this week, and she will be helping with transportation to appointments and treatment. She lives about 4 hours away from her parents, so will be living with them at least part of the time. She asks for prayers for healing for her parents and “Coping Gainzz” for herself.

For Healing:

6/15 – Hands requests prayers for his father, who has cancer and will be going through radiation and chemotherapy this summer. Please pray for a successfully treatment and beating the cancer.

6/15 – CH needs prayers for his heart surgery on Thursday (6/17), replacing a valve and a bypass. Any prayers are appreciated!

6/15 – OregonMuse thanks all of you who prayed for him concerning his eye condition last week. The good news: The specialist told him that the spot on his retina is a well-known congenital condition and it is benign. Nothing to worry about, will follow up in six months.

I probably should watch it at some point, as there are those who say it's actually not a bad movie. Acclaimed French actress/singer Isabelle Adjani and Charles Grodin had supporting roles.
