Supreme Court Lets Stand Lower Court Ruling Forbidding Schools From Having Sex-Segregated Bathrooms

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected a Virginia school board's appeal to reinstate its transgender bathroom ban, handing a victory to transgender rights groups and a former high school student who fought in court for six years to overturn the ban.

After learning that the high court refused to hear the board's appeal, Gavin Grimm, now 22, said that his long battle is over. "We won," he tweeted. "Honored to have been part of this victory," he added.

Grimm was a 15-year-old student at Gloucester High School when he was banned from using the boys bathroom. The Gloucester County School Board's policy required Grimm to use restrooms that corresponded with his biological sex -- female -- or private bathrooms. Grimm filed a federal lawsuit that wound its way through the courts for six years.

Grimm said that being forced to use the nurse's room, a private bathroom and the girl's restroom was humiliating and severely interfered with his education.

The board argued previously that federal laws protect against discrimination based on sex, not gender identity. Because Grimm had not undergone sex-reassignment surgery and still had female genitalia, the board’s position has been that he remained anatomically a female.

This will effectively overturn trangender bathroom use in at least five states:

Paul D. Castillo, an attorney for the LGBT rights group Lambda Legal, said Monday that five states are technically bound by the 4th Circuit decision: Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

But he said that it "would be hard to imagine a court that would not take this victory into account."

Yes, the Supreme Court has effectively blessed this as the law of the entire land.

This also means that boys with dicks will be allowed in girls' bathrooms -- but of course for their test case (a "test case" is a carefully selected case chosen by an activist group to put the best possible shine on their agenda) they chose a transgender girl-to-boy, because, seriously, dudes don't care if a girl wants to shit next to them.

We need more of this. A lot more of this. An older woman I know, and highly partisan Democrat and dedicated CNN viewer, always claims that this sort of story is just made up. "Where did you get that, Fox?!" she'll say with exasperation.

Because CNN refuses to cover these stories -- they know the hard left agenda can only advance under cover of darkness -- she just doesn't believe this is really happening.

So we need more of these Viral Epiphanies. We need so many of them that the leftwing corporate propaganda press can't cover them all up.

A New Zealand female weightlifter who is having all of her records smashed by the dude competing as a woman, "Laurel" Hillard, says that she was forced to lose 18 kilos (that's a lot) to compete in a lower weight class -- because "Laurel" Hillard was so dominating the women's heavyweight category, because, and I can't stress this enough, he's a dude and dudes weigh more than women and are also much stronger than women.

The actually-a-female-weightlifter complains about this and says, correctly, this is the end of women's sports.

I can here the older woman I mentioned before: "Where are you getting that, Fox?!!?"

Older Democrats just don't know about these massive cultural aggressions of the younger socialist/identity politics left, again, because CNN, the NYT, etc., keep the stories quiet so they don't scare the older more mainstream Democrats into defecting.

Steven Crowder makes two great points: First, he points out that an actual woman has been suspended from sports for showing a slightly elevated level of a performance-enhancing male hormone.

Then he notes that "Laurel" Hillard has had a lifetime of performance-enhancing male hormone implants, called his hairy balls.

He also points out that the supposed "limitation" on transgenders competing as women is that they cannot have, for a year before they compete, a certain level of testosterone in their body.

Well, first of all, that means you can have 40 years of high (for a woman) levels of testosterone in your blood gaining all the benefits from that hormone, such as denser bones and bigger and denser muscles.

But he also points out that the limit for testosterone for transgenders is about 288 -- which is only slightly below the the 300 level where a doctor might or might not say a man is low testosterone.

Crucially: that level is ten times as high as an average woman's testosterone.

So our big limitation on "transwomen" competing with women is that their testosterone can only be ten times as high as that of the average woman?

As we meanwhile suspend women for testing for slightly elevated levels of testosterone?
