Six Months Late, Georgia Begins Investigating "Irregularities" in Ballot Collection
"Drop boxes" are machines for voter fraud.
They strip away any need of the fraudster presenting himself personally to vote, where there is a small chance his fraud would be noted. It's hard for a 30 year old fraudster to pass himself off as a 95 year old (deceased) person.
And requiring in-person voting reduces how much fraud can happen: Each criminal is limited by the time it takes to vote. He can go to different voting stations each time claiming to be a different deceased or out-of-state person, but even working a full day, he could probably only cast ten or twelve illegal votes.
But with drop boxes, he can fill out hundreds of fraudulent votes in a night and then drop them off en masse. Maybe split the ballots among ten boxes to keep it from being too obvious.
And Fulton County didn't even bother with the most minimal paperwork about these fraud boxes:
Georgia Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has opened an investigation into Fulton County for allegedly violating state rules "requiring absentee ballot drop box transfer forms to be filled out," his office confirmed to CNN on Monday.
A source with knowledge of the investigation cautioned to CNN that the probe "does not have any implications about fraudulent or missing ballots in Fulton any more than it meant that in the other smaller, more conservative counties," saying: "To be clear, we're investigating a rule violation" in Fulton County.
In confirming the probe, the Georgia secretary of state's office noted it had "announced similar investigations in Coffee, Grady, and Taylor counties a few months ago."
"Restoring confidence in our elections is going to be impossible as long as Fulton County's elections leadership continues to fail the voters of Fulton County and the voters of Georgia. They need new leadership to step up and take charge," Raffensperger wrote in a tweet on Monday.
Yeah, they need new leadership in the Secretary of State position.
Meanwhile, Merrick Garland, who Andy McCarthy has of course vouched for, threatens to intervene in the Arizona vote audit.
