Boy howdy, first the Russian Hackers who are almost certainly directed by Putin attacked the US oil supply, now they're attacking our food supply.

And what's Biden doing? Well, giving Russia permission to build their own oil pipeline, even after he shut down the US's Keystone pipeline.

Say, remember when NeverTrump used to pretend their opposition to having an actual conservative, rather than a libertarian corporate fake conservative, in the White House was all about "standing up to tyrants"?

Good times, good times.

Meanwhile, Russia is conducting actual war operations in the US, and the Patriotic True Conservative NeverTrumpers are all quiet as churchmice.

A criminal organisation that is probably based in Russia was behind a ransomware attack that has disrupted animal slaughtering at JBS, the White House said based on information from the world's largest meat processor. 

Sao Paulo-headquartered JBS has for the past two days suffered from a cyber attack on its North American and Australian systems that halted work for thousands of employees.

The company has stood down up to 7,000 workers in Australian abattoirs that rely heavily on casual staff, while shifts for at least 3,000 workers have been cancelled across Canada and the US.

The incident, first discovered on Sunday, is the latest in a string of cyber attacks on companies with important roles in the economy, including ransomware that last month stopped flows on the Colonial pipeline, a vital fuel artery for the populous east coast of the US.

The White House was "engaging directly with the Russian government on this matter and delivering the message that responsible states do not harbour ransomware criminals", said spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday.

Yeah, well: After Biden advised the Colonial Pipeline company to pay the Russians' ransom, and after Biden then permitted Putin to build his oil pipeline through Europe, I think that's the "message" they will consider to have been "delivered."

Not this weak nonsense.

Even before this Russian Attack on Our Democracy (TM), restaurants were running out of product and raising prices.

Some restaurants are running out of products and raising menu prices as a meat shortage dramatically increases the price of chicken, beef and pork.

At the Warehouse Grille and Drinkery in Bennington, owner Jill Nelson said she noticed the uptick in meat prices over the last six to eight weeks.

"We just absorbed it all, tried to think of ways to cut expenses on other areas that we could," she said.

Now, Nelson said some products just aren't available. The grill has been serving jumbo bone-in chicken wings since it opened 12 years ago, but because of the shortage, that's no longer a current option.

Tim Pool connects the dying economy to the insane rush by the wealthy, US corporations, and foreign interests to buy up US real estate to astonishingly high values, all but leaving home ownership out of the reach of what was formerly called the American middle class.

Back in January, the dollar was already losing value, and some analysts forecasted that the dollar would ultimately lose over one third of its buying power in the then-future.

So the dollar is crashing, and you can't buy a home without offering hundreds of thousands of dollars above its asking price and freeing the seller from any warranties or rights to inspection.

One obvious conclusion: the smart money -- the Big Money -- knows that a huge crash is coming and they're buying up land, because it's historically held its value in a recession (or depression) better than alternatives.

Boy, that moderate, centrist Democrat relentlessly promoted by NeverTrump as a conservative-leaning decent man is sure doing a hell of a job.
