As "Journalists" Cry That Their Monument To Their Own Vanity -- the Newseum -- Shuts Down, Commenters Patiently Explain Why Their Temple Must Be Destroyed
The "Newseum" was a museum created upon the premise that the news media weren't boastful enough of their accomplishments, that reporters weren't egotistical enough about their importance, so a museum immortalizing their Courage and Virtue in Pantheon-esque marble had to be raised.
"Heartbreaking," this soy simp says, as the building is torn down.
Cry moar, bitches.
Some good comments.

Oh look! A metaphor for what's happened to actual journalism over the past few decades.
@OldTom_Morris
Quite ironic, really. The only place one might find actual journalism today, is in a museum.
@TejasGator
Imagine building an ivory tower to yourselves and charging an arm-and-a-leg for entrance while you can visit exhibits worth seeing at the Smithsonian museums for free. It's really a microcosm for journalism in general while its status seriously degraded over the last few years.
@BobarianLMD
Are they putting up a coding museum?

@Scythe_of_lyfe
They are building a coding museum powered by solar panels.
This sad turnip says he's sad to see it go:

Loved that place. Had a great exhibit on hurricane Katrina. A real shame to see it go.

Was the exhibit just Biden constantly voting for the Iraq war over and over and over?

@BidensDad
They should replace it with a monument to the stunning and brave journalists who stood up against Trump! Who risked their lives to give us nothing but the facts!! Heroes, all of them Smiling face with tear

Gee, I wonder why people hold the press in such low esteem? I mean, they're such serious, hard-working people, who ask very probing questions even of the politicians they vote for!
I'm sure some of you are also crying about the death of the "Newseum."
Please tell me about your memories of this temple to journalistic vanity, and how many cats you'll adopt to console yourselves.
