Trump: I Would "Certainly Consider" Ron DeSantis as a Running Mate in 2024

Just short of an endorsement of DeSantis as a presidential candidate in his own right.

And doesn't indicate a lot of passion for Pence.

"Well, he's a friend of mine. I endorsed Ron. And after I endorsed him, he took off like a rocket ship," Trump said Thursday morning on Fox Business, referencing DeSantis's 2018 race. "He's done a great job as governor."
"A lot of people like that -- I'm just saying what I read and what you read, they love that ticket," Trump added. "But certainly, Ron would be considered. He's a great guy."

I really do think that this might be a stealth announcement that the Trump-Pence pairing -- always an uncomfortable one, with Pence representing GOPe, Suburban Karen interests, and his staff often rumored to be cooperating with Deep State operations against Trump -- is now over.
