Gavin Newsom Antifasplains That the Recall Effort Against Him -- Which is Succeeding Marvelously -- Is Just an Effort By "Right Wing Extremists" To Take Over Sacramento Like They Took Over Washington DC

I love when the Ruling Class dismisses all criticism of it, and all efforts to make it accountable, as illegitimate and criminal.

The Tree of Liberty isn't gonna feed itself, you know.

"So Governor, you say that this recall effort has ties to the same extremist groups that stormed the Capitol, but organizers claim more than a third of signatures are from Democrats, Independents and unaffiliated voters mad that your pandemic policies shuttered businesses and schools. Are both true?" Joy Behar asked.

"Well, the chief proponent of this, and forgive me, this is just objective truth. The chief proponent of this recall petition supports putting microchips into migrants, into immigrants," Newsom said. "The other proponents, the chief, the top ten proponents, the people that are behind this are members of the Three Percenters -- the right wing militia group, the Proud Boys, supported the insurrection, are folks that quite literally enthusiastically support Qanon conspiracies, and so that's the origin here."

He also blamed Republicans, generally.

"I won't be distracted by this partisan, Republican recall -- but I will fight it," Newsom tweeted Monday.

The "Stop the Republican Recall" campaign said the recall movement against Newsom is "powered by a partisan, Republican coalition of national Republicans, anti-vaxxers, QAnon conspiracy theorists, anti-immigrant activists and Trump supporters."

It's literally a matter of days before NeverTrump makes keeping Newsome it's newest crusade, and The Lincoln Project starts fundraising off it.

Newsom recently declared that California will literally never go "back to normal" -- not under his watch.

It doesn't matter how many Californians go bankrupt, how many are forced to leave the state -- he doesn't care. He says he's not changing, ever, for any reasons.

He calls the two million people that have demanded his recall "a few naysayers."

"Normal was never good enough," Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom declared Tuesday in his State of the State address.

Gov. Newsom is facing a recall petition effort that has garnered nearly two million signatures, due to his draconian coronavirus lockdown mandates. But, Newsom said he has no intention of changing course just because of "a few naysayers."

"We're not going to change course, just because of a few naysayers and doomsdayers. So, the California critics out there who are promoting partisan, political, power-grabs, with outdated prejudices, rejecting everything that makes California truly great, we say this: we will not be distracted from shots in arms and our economy booming again. This is a fight for California's future."

It is a fight for California's future. And you need to not be there.
