Chinese Democracy: Marxist-Corporatist Fusion Regime Declares War on American Republic, and the Neocon Corporate Courtiers Applaud

@SohrabAhmari

The regime-approved conservative intellectuals here remind me so much of the regime-approved dissidents in my native Iran.

We're now going to see US sanctions --- a la Iraq and Iran --- applied to religious conservatives, economic leftists and others who reject the reigning corporate woke orthodoxy.

Oh, you don't think there are 157 genders? There goes your access to banking!

@SeanParnell

Every Democrat should be joining with Republicans to say that this absolute monopoly on the dissemination of political speech controlled by colluding tech giants is a threat to our republic.

Censoring law abiding individuals & businesses for 'wrong think' is anti-American.

@ClayTravis

Big tech companies all simultaneously reaching exact same decisions when it comes to banning individuals & businesses demands antitrust action. It’s monopolistic collusion, yes, but it also destroys marketplace of ideas & is a far bigger threat to the country than any individual.

The Chinese government restricts free speech on the internet, but big tech companies in the US are now so powerful -- and colluding -- that they have created monopolies which dictate which online speech is allowed. It should terrify anyone who cares about the marketplace of ideas.

In other words, the first amendment jurisprudence of the United States is predicated on the government not prohibiting speech. But the Internet has created such powerful companies that their power to restrict speech is now more all encompassing than the US government's.

This shouldn’t be a partisan issue at all. The marketplace of ideas allows fringe ideas to win the battle of minds. It’s how our country evolves. Many liberal & conservative thoughts that are now ascendant were once fringe minority positions. Stifling that debate makes us China.

Remember not just who's doing this, but who enabled it, who encouraged it, and who is currently justifying it.

That's right: Your "True Conservative" Tribunes of the People.

The people who you've supported for years, donating each time they rattled their cyber-beggar's cup.

The people you thought you were supporting to bring the complaints of those outside the DC power elite to the DC power elite, informing the DC power elite of the ways in which we were dissatisfied by them and the changes we wanted the DC power elite to make as a corrective.

But who instead, the whole while they were delivering the complaints of the DC power elite to the hinterlands, informing the outside-the-beltways suckers and yahoos of the ways in which we were dissatisfying the DC power elite, and telling us the changes the DC power elite demanded we make as a corrective.
