The Morning Report - 12/16/20 [J.J. Sefton]

rushexit.jpg

Good morning, kids. Wednesday and the beat (-down) goes on. I don't have the energy to be either hopeful or depressed by whatever the latest news may be in terms of Trump and all of us overcoming the overthrow of the legitimate government of the United States by a treasonous domestic enemy, no doubt aided and abetted by one or more foreign ones. I only know that no matter what transpires on January 20th, 2021, this nation has been changed forever. That is inarguable, irrespective of whatever tripe the professional propagandists or the average brain dead lefty might spout.

G-d bless Rush Limbaugh, last week he broached the rather controversial subject of national divorce on his show, and the vermin with press credentials went ape. Let me backtrack and state that were this any other time, even perhaps during the Obama reign of error, it would be controversial. Today, all things considered, it's not only not controversial, but given the words, deeds, history and promises/threats of the American Left, I'd go so far as to say it's the responsible thing to do. Yesterday, Limbaugh was back on the air and was claiming that he was not in favor of secession, and that he was only quoting unnamed bloggers. I listened to that broadcast and while he did not say he agreed with them, he did say this, in response to a question about ever winning elections again from a caller and his producer Bo Snerdley:

I thought you were asking me something else when you said, "Can we win?" I thought you meant can we win the culture, can we dominate the culture. I actually think -- and I've referenced this, I've alluded to this a couple of times cause I've seen others allude to this. I actually think that we're trending toward secession. I see more and more people asking what in the world do we have in common with the people who live in, say, New York? What is there that makes us believe that there is enough of us there to even have a chance at winning New York, especially if you're talking about votes.

I see a lot of bloggers -- I can't think of names right now -- a lot of bloggers have written extensively about how distant and separated and how much more separated our culture is becoming politically and that it can't go on this way. There cannot be a peaceful coexistence of two completely different theories of life, theories of government, theories of how we manage our affairs. We can't be in this dire a conflict without something giving somewhere along the way.

I know that there's a sizable and growing sentiment for people who believe that that is where we're headed whether we want to or not. Whether we want to go there or not. I myself haven't made up my mind. I still haven't given up the idea that we are the majority and that all we have to do is find a way to unite and win. And our problem is the fact that there are just so many RINOs, so many Republicans in the Washington establishment who will do anything to maintain their membership in the establishment because of the perks and the opportunities that are presented for their kids and so forth.

The bloggers he was alluding to are more than likely from American Thinker, American Greatness and Frontpage Mag, plus a heaping helping of some of the folks right here at the HQ. In any case, the reason the Left went nuts about this is because all they heard was "secession" uttered by Rush Limbaugh. The fatal mistake they've been making for 32 years is thinking Rush Limbaugh brainwashes millions of people into thinking what he thinks, when in reality, Rush Limbaugh is merely giving voice to what millions of people are already thinking. My own perception is, while he certainly did not openly call for a split, his tone taken in context with everything else he was saying seemed as if he did not object to it, much that he did not want it to come about. I wouldn't want it, but if your leg is gangrenous, at a certain point it's got to go. I'll go back and re-listen to the segment just to see if my perception is correct.

Regardless, secession, national divorce, dissolution, whatever you want to call it is in the public conscious. The Enemy does not want it because they want to dominate, control and punish us for being everything they are not - righteous, moral, hardworking, successful, G-d fearing, truly compassionate and most of all, independent. It's the same rationale behind the Muslim world's utter hatred of the state of Israel and why they want its destruction. Israel's existence, and its absolute success as a free and open society stands in sharp contrast to the misery, squalor, failure and despair of every nation around it. If ever America were split in two, our nation would become a Trumpist Americanist superpower while the Leftist nation would devolve into a hell on Earth to rival Venezuela, Haiti, Cuba and Zimbabwe. It would be a negation of everything that they believe in, and so, it must not be allowed to exist. Again, in their twisted weltanschauung, it (that is WE) is the embodiment of evil and must either be subjugated or destroyed. It's the same old story; lather, rinse, repeat until paradise on Earth is achieved, no matter how many millions of lives are ground into dust.

And that brings us to the other part of Rush's comments that I highlighted as it now pertains to the President's ultimate gambit in restoring his victory for a second term; the fact that his fate is in the hands of a political party that is worse than dead. It's the undead zombie accomplice of the Enemy. With such stalwart leadership as Mitch McConnell congratulating - CONGRATULATING - Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and praising the former to high heaven for all his years of service in the Senate. The fucking gall. But wait, there's more! Arguably one of the worst human beings on the planet, Mitt "Pee-Air Defecto" Romney is demanding we give up and get behind the Polident-Elect, while at the same time bemoaning that Trumpism is here to stay.

Yup, I'm just filled with strength and confidence that the GOP is going to recognize the alternate slate of electors and then vote 30-20 in the House to elect Trump. Sheesh. As an aside, Rush Limbaugh is kind of a metaphor for America. Real America. Stricken as he is with cancer, his situation very much in doubt, he still somehow manages to pull himself together and fight.

Well, be it Limbaugh or the nation, in spite of everything, miracles do happen. Until noon on January 20th, I'll endeavor to persevere... and keep the Zippo away from my thinning pate.

As always, keep the faith and keep your powder dry.
