Garbage Network CNN Pushes Yet Another Viral Fake News Story, This One About Covid Patients Saying "Covid Is a Hoax" with Their Dying Breaths;
Story Falls Apart, With Zero Corroboration=but CNN Refuses to Retract Or Even Comment

This was a tale she spread on Twitter.

It was a "Too Good to Be True" story --a leftwing morality play: All of these stupid, ignorant Trump voters dying due to God's Justice, God infecting them with a deadly coronavirus whose very existence they denied.

CNN didn't bother fact-checking any of it. They're in the business of political pornography for obsessive neurotic shut-ins, and this was hardcore XXX political porn.

Other people did fact-check though.

They story's bunk and is at best a "massive exaggeration."

At worst it's just another made up story, like a fake hate crime hoax, invented to get some attention for a flaky person spinning the yarn.

In the latest blow to CNN's claim to be a news organization, National Review and Wired found last week that their much-heralded November 16 interview with South Dakota nurse Jodi Doering, who was trashing her patients, had more than a few holes.

While Doering's story drew widespread attention by over a half dozen CNNers, National Review and Wired couldn’t find anyone to confirm Doering's claims of coronavirus patients "who still don't believe the virus is real" and that it's instead a conspiracy theory.

Doering's statement that she's watched "so many" people die from the disease even as they deny its very existence, endlessly repeated on social media and presented by news outlets without corroboration, would seem to represent a broader phenomenon.

But other nurses who work in similar settings say they've seen nothing of the kind.

I called a number of hospitals in the same part of South Dakota to ask emergency room nurses if they'd noticed the same, disturbing phenomenon. At Avera Weskota Memorial Hospital, about 20 minutes from Doering's hometown of Woonsocket, an ER nurse told me, "I have not had that experience here." At my request, Kim Rieger, the VP for communications and marketing at Huron Regional Medical Center, one of the four medical facilities where Doering works, spoke with several nurses at Huron to get their reactions to the CNN interview. None said they'd interacted with Covid patients who denied having the disease. "Most patients are grateful, and thankful for our help," one told her. "I have not experienced this, nor have I been told of this experience, ever," another said.

Incidentally, if the story were true -- and don't worry; it's not -- then this "nurse" would have been violating HIPPA in reporting her dying patient's quite-confidential delusions for the general enjoyment of leftwing Twitter.

But don't worry about that: She's making it up.

Writing in his "Fourth Watch" newsletter, our friend Steve Krakauer summed up Doering’s behavior as "generally gross" as she "[chose] to go on national TV and share the private dying words of her patients" and even "laughed her way through the interview."

Krakauer added that this story symbolized "a combination of two things that caused this journalistic malpractice - a reliance on Twitter, combined with a passive attack on Trump that ends up being too good to check by CNN and other outlets."

"Laughing your way through an interview," in which you're pretending to be an empathetic caregiver truly upset to see people dying of preventable disease, kinda gives the game away.

Fucking monkeys. Fucking filthy circus animals.

RedState has been all over this Fake Science Crime Hoax since the beginning.

On Tuesday morning, after speaking with a Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) employee, RedState was unable to confirm anything about Doering's employment with the hospital or even if she was assigned to any work on a COVID-19 unit. We were able to confirm that the hospital has had six COVID-19 deaths over the entire pandemic. The probability that Doering was present for any or all of them is quite low. Questions regarding Doering's employment were unanswered because of alleged privacy policies regarding employment...

The revelation that Doering is a travel nurse is quite interesting. To find out more about what that means for Doering’s involvement with the hospital, RedState reached out to and received comment from 8, full-time staff nurses from hospitals around the country, and 2 nurse staffing companies for comment. (all spoke to RedState on condition of anonymity)

Almost unanimously (7 to 1), the nurses found that the majority of travel nurses often cause more problems than they fix, and have issues that keep them from earning longer-term, full-time employment with the hospitals with whom they are assigned. The one nurse who spoke favorably of travel nurses said that at least 30% are still a problem, with another 30-40% of them being "sufficient" to complete the task but not worthy of earning a full-time position. Unanimously, the nurses also found that speaking to the media about patient behavior was grounds for dismissal or reassignment.

Former Number One News Network Fox tried to get a comment from their corporate neoliberal media ally CNN, but CNN refused to provide one.
