Zuckerberg: We Censored the Hunter Biden Story Because an Unnamed Individual at the FBI Told Us to be On the Lookout for Russian Disinformation

Two possibilities:

1. The FBI gave him a general, nonspecific warning about Russian disinformation, and Zuckerberg is just using this as an excuse for his own company's partisan censorship.

2. More chillingly -- the FBI, which was sitting on the laptop for a year and thereby keeping the story bottled-up, took the extra step of poisoning the well and claiming that the story was Russian disinformation to Zuckerberg, to make sure it got censored if it did come out.

If Zuckerberg's telling the truth, it's #2.

Who is this person at the FBI doing extra credit homework for the Biden campaign? If he's assisting in censorship of public information, we have the right to know who he is.

Is it Christopher Wray, by any chance?

"One of the threats that the FBI has alerted our company and the public to was the possibility of a hack and leak operation in the days or weeks leading up to this election," Zuckerberg said. "So you had both public testimony from the FBI and in private meetings alerts that were given--at least to our company, I assume the others as well--that suggested we be on high alert and sensitivity that if a trove of documents appeared, that we should view that with suspicion that it might be part of a foreign manipulation attempt."

The FBI has had the computer and hard drive of Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden in its possession for almost a year.

More: Zuckerberg says the warning wasn't specifically about this story:

"Did the FBI contact you and say the New York Post story was false?" Johnson asked.

"Not about that story specifically," Zuckerberg replied.

When Johnson asked why Facebook chose to move forward in limiting the article's distribution, Zuckerberg claimed that it was because of "heightened alert" surrounding election interference by the Russians that they began to prevent the article from being widely shared.

"They alerted us to be on heightened alert around the risk of a hack and leak operation," Zuckerberg said. "To be clear on this, we didn't censor the content. We flagged it for fact-checkers to review and pending that review, we temporarily constrained the distribution to make sure it didn't spread wildly while it was being reviewed."

But it seems the allegedly nonspecific warning was in fact crafted to get this specific story censored.

Once again, I want to know who wrote this warning.
