Has Melissa Francis Been Fired from Fox? Plus: Waiting for the Tony Bobulinski Presser
Melissa Francis is a panelist on Outnumbered. She's the one who forbade Newt Gingrich from mentioning the verified fact that George Soros had spent millions to get far-leftwing Antifa DA's elected around the country -- Antifa DAs who are refusing to prosecute antifa terrorists.
She's at the end of her contract, she hasn't been on Fox for two weeks, and she's filed a grievance against the company, claiming gender discrimination.
Some say she's been fired. Fox denies this -- but stresses no decision has been made, and that they're always making staff changes.
Which sounds like "she's been fired" to me.
Francis has not been on air at Fox News for more than two weeks -- October 7 being her last appearance -- and the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday that she "is probably at the end of her six-year run at the network, according to people familiar with the matter."
The Los Angeles Times further reported that Francis "had filed a gender-based pay discrimination claim against the company that has been in arbitration," citing "one person familiar with the proceedings," with Francis allegedly complaining she was "underpaid compared with her male colleagues."
Despite the Los Angeles Times reporting that an unnamed person "close to Francis
said the Fox News co-host had been fired, Fox News denied the claim.
In a statement to Mediaite, Fox News claimed that it "regularly considers programming changes, including to its daytime lineup, and will launch new formats as appropriate after the election."
"These changes are being made independent of any other ongoing matter," the network added -- noting that Francis has not been fired.
I think they have to say that the decision to keep her or fire her is being made "indepedendent" of her gender-discrimination claim, otherwise she'd just slap on a new charge of retaliation.
Yeah, she fired.
It makes me wonder if Francis was attempting to make a demo reel, presenting herself as a good fit for a leftwing news program, like The View. That would explain her sudden proclamation that it was now no longer acceptable to note that George Soros bankrolled a lot of the Antifa DA's currently plaguing the country.
Bobulinski Presser: I don't have a good link for this. I'm going to link Right Side Broadcasting's live feed pre-debate. Maybe they'll have it, but I don't know.
