First-World Problems...Part Toru Tekau Ma Warui
I like the Roku interface, and as a step in the direction of cutting the cord, or at least my outrageous cable bill. I have it plugged into my home theater receiver because it is the most useful way to connect (the receiver talks to the TV and the DVD player).
But...it plugs into the back of the thing, which is on the bottom shelf of a cabinet, with more equipment on the shelf above, and it sometimes does not communicate with the remote. Roku supplies a short extender, which is woefully inadequate. Ideally I would run it so it is line-of-sight to the remote, but that means finding a longer connector or figuring out how to reconfigure the receiver to use the front HDMI plug as the primary input. And then of course it would be visible, and I really don't want to disturb the aesthetics of the cabinet.
Hold me!
