The Morning Report - 8/13/20

Good morning, kids. Thursday and the lead story continues to be the fallout over the Kamala Harris pick to be Joe Biden's VP, or replacement pre- or post-Election Day (G-d forbid the latter). Fallout being the operative word as it went over like a lead balloon. While nobody with even half of Joe Biden's functioning brain stem is fooled by the transparently fraud hype of her being some sort of political "moderate," the Sandersnistas in the party are still less than thrilled. Briahna Joy Gray, former national press secretary for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), vented her spleen with this Tweet:

We are in the midst of the largest protest movement in American history, the subject of which is excessive policing, and the Democratic Party chose a "top cop" and the author of the Joe Biden crime bill to save us from Trump.

The contempt for the base is, wow.

Emphasis mine. That said, her words stand in rather stark contrast with the farshimmelt old commie bastard she works for, who Tweeted:

Congratulations to @KamalaHarris, who will make history as our next Vice President. She understands what it takes to stand up for working people, fight for health care for all, and take down the most corrupt administration in history. Let's get to work and win.

Hmm. Trouble in Worker's Paradise? I'd say so. Thanks in no small part to the agitprop media (especially Twitter), the monster that the Left created - brainwashed youth and a fair number of older folks who lack common sense or knowledge of the machinations of American politics - has been duped into thinking, that a) we are on the verge of a "reich-wing OrangemanBad fascist coup!" and b) that their views represent the majority of Americans. Even a hardcore Stalinist like this Pramila Jayapal is openly insulting the pedophile in the semi-persistent vegetative state in order to try and placate the base:

"We were able to push Joe Biden to do things that he hadn't signed on to before," Jayapal said on a Comedy Central episode of "The Daily Show" with Trevor Noah. "He is movable."

Jayapal's optimism stems from the recently released "Unity Task Forces" agreement last month where the Biden campaign joined forces with staff from Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders' to hammer out a new platform reassuring the Democratic base of Biden's commitment to progressivism...

But the brain trust over at the DNC didn't do themselves any favors with this move:

"Ocasio-Cortez will be given just 60 seconds to deliver a pre-recorded message at the Democratic National Convention next week," The New York Post reported. "The party's progressive firebrand has been afforded the limited role while Democrats like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and former Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana, will get to deliver live, virtual speeches at the coronavirus-revamped event..."

The news caused many on the far-left to lose their minds on social media, decrying the Democrat Party as "arrogant scumbags."

"Y'all gone fuck around and make @AOC shake the foundations of this entire democracy in 60 seconds just because you arrogant scumbags tried to diminish her impact," far-left commentator Benjamin Dixon tweeted.

Another leftist journalist tweeted: "Wow... the Democratic Party is basically telling progressives to go elsewhere at this point. Bad strategy toward 40-45% of the party..."

"AOC gets 60 seconds to address the DNC. Rashida nor Ilhan speaking," another wrote. "Meanwhile, Jeffrey Epstein's pal Bill Clinton & his partner who gave us Trump in the first place will get to babble to their hearts' content. The Democrats hate progressives more than they want to win..."

The DNC is actually giving a prime speaking spot to none other than Son-of-a-postage-stamp John Kasich - a RINO - as well as one or both of the Clintons, while shoving the "Justice Democrats" in the dungeon below Biden's basement. Oh boy. The disgusting nature of the fact that all four of "The Squad" slags won their primaries aside, it signals that while there may be a disconnect between the Maoist base and the Young Turds/Turks they elected as freshman with the realpolitik of normal America, there is a disconnect or more likely a disrespect and hatred of the latter by the old guard who are not willing to give up the reins of power.

So the Dems find themselves in a bit of a pickle; convincing a sizeable number of the so-called and much-vaunted "moderates" and "independents" that Joe-Blow '20 is the second coming of the New Deal and the New Frontier by dumping metric tons of ketchup on the raw sewage of the Green New Deal, Single Payer National Health, open borders, gun confiscation and all the rest that said voters see right through, while at the same time openly courting the hardcore base that they are trying to distance themselves from, even if disingenuously. I guess, given all of that, how the hell could they possibly have allowed Donkey-Chompers to bray like the jackass she is on a national stage? That said, it might have been payback for the unseating of Eliot Engel, Lacy Clay and even Joe Crowley, among others. The simplest answer is almost always the most logical explanation.

And yet, all the pollsters and the media are insisting it's going to be an early night for Trump. Again, Fraud-By-Mail voting is the giant "X" factor that scares the hell out of me. Meanwhile, the other problem that the Democrats face, which the media is doing its best to cover up and/or obfuscate, is the mounting disaffection of one its historic core constituencies - black America. There are strong indications that blacks are swinging over to Trump and in a big way - potentially historic. He might possibly swing the largest percentage of black votes for a Republican in decades, and that could be enough to overcome even the cheat factor. The evidence is of course in polling as well as anecdotal. Pre-lockdowns, the Trump economy resulted in the lowest levels of black and Latino unemployment and historic reductions of the food stamp and welfare rolls. And as Burn Loot and Murder ransack and pillage tony areas such as Fifth Avenue and the Magnificent Mile, lost in the sauce that the vast majority of the destruction and dislocation have already decimated black neighborhoods, wiping out black businesses and families.

Community members in Chicago asked protesters to leave the 7th district police station Tuesday, telling them that they didn't show concern about the community unless it had to do with the police.

"I ain't see none of you motherf*ckers when them kids got killed," one man told the protesters, a video posted by Sun Times journalist Tyler LaRiviere showed. "Y'all don't come out when the kids get shot. Y'all come out when it got something to do with the fucking police." "We're out here every day watching our kids get their brains blew out with no f-cking funding, no resources, but you motherf-ckers getting all the resources and yall wanna come over here and disrupt our motherf-cking neighborhood..."

BLM and Antifa terrorists and propagandists can "white supremacy" their lungs out, but I'd wager this gentleman speaks for a whole lot of black folks who aren't buying any of it. And then there's Kamala Harris, the "historic" VP nominee who isn't actually African-American, who locked up thousands of blacks and Latinos as a supposedly tough-on-crime DA and AG, who now is linked to a fund that is bailing out violent criminals and rioters, a woman who's hell bent to abolish the Second Amendment and disarm law abiding citizens - that includes blacks who now, thanks to the defund the police movement will have zero means to defend themselves - is anti-school choice which blacks support overwhelmingly as their children's only chance for a real education, and an abortion booster who'll make sure the Leftist holy sacrament of baby-killing wipes out even more generations of blacks before socialism can land them in prison or an early grave.

It's going to be an interesting convention in Milwaukee. Is that even still happening? I hope so. Recreate '68.
