The Morning Report - 6/24/20

Good morning, kids. Wednesday and the drumbeat to overthrow what's left of the United States as founded continues, growing ever more strident, incoherent and violent. Churchill, you know, that fat old white guy who was an evil racist, on the eve of the Battle of Britain described what was at stake and it fits the current crisis perfectly:

...The whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science...

Although the pretext for "a new order" is different, the parallels between the conditions that brought about the rise of Leftist Nazism in Germany in the 1930s as well as the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, and the rise of totalitarian Marxist-Leninist revolution-for-the-hell-of-it here in America in the 2020s are quite similar, and in your face.

Demonization of oppressors over oppressed peoples, the purported illegitimacy of the established government, legal and political system, the book-burnings, the expulsion and censorship from the public square of political rivals and others who do not tow the approved cultural line, breakdown of the social order via orchestrated acts of violence and unrest, and so on and so on and scoobie-doobie-doobie.

About the only difference, which is significant, is that even despite the severe economic dislocation and pain caused by the Peking Pox pandemic panic economic shutdown, for the most part our economy was nowhere near as ravaged and wrecked as Germany just before Hitler. Also, while most of German society either enthusiastically went along with the Nazis or accepted what happened, the pillars of American society - the media, academia, a large swathe of business and the governmental bureaucracy - are in large part fueling the insurrection. And the cherry on top of it all is our very own national socialist party, the Democrats. Divide and Conquer did not open for Hall and Oates at the Apollo in '86.

There is one other difference, and if this madness worsens - and all signs show that it shows no signs of abating - it may very well be the crucial factor: the Second Amendment. I certainly hope and pray that it never gets to that point but, with the push to marginalize or outright get rid of police (a calculated move to further destabilize societal order), it could very well come to that. Given the politicization of police departments and the understandable unwillingness to become the next one to be put on trial for doing his job, it might very well come down to individuals forced to defend themselves against BLM/Antifa terrorists.

The more I think about it, it's not that history repeats itself but it's that the human condition stays the same. But, you don't have to go back to Nazi Germany or the Bolshevik Revolution. Yesterday we had the story of a young woman who described how Hugo Chavez and the Communists destroyed Venezuela less than 20 years ago and today, a Cuban refugee is incredulous that he is witnessing the toppling of statues here in the USA, the land he fled to where he thought that that would never happen:

... I was born in a Cuba that was a beautiful democracy, run very similarly to what we have here in the United States. There were people on the right and the left, and they disputed political ideas; however, it was always done with mutual respect. In the late 1940s and early 1950s Cuba began to shift politically; it was taken hostage by an extreme left looking to destroy the good that Cuba stood for. Similar to what we are seeing in the U.S. with organizations such as Antifa, this hate-filled ideology lived to agitate, defame and destroy. They would label you with vile and derogatory terms should you not conform - sound familiar?

I saw this poison first-hand, watching it corrupt an entire society in ways that nobody ever would have expected. You have to ask how this happened in a country where people are highly educated, society is functioning, and all established institutions protect the less capable, sick, and elderly. What happened? Like other great empires, they self-destructed...

As I have stated before, even if President Trump wins reelection, which I think he is going to, we are never really going to be able to vote our way out of this in the future. One major political party is a de-facto hostile alien power intent on imposing its will on the nation, by deceit, corruption, bureaucratic fiats and a puppet judiciary. Its political allies, for the time being, - Antifa and BLM - are terrorist organizations that also desire to overthrow the nation and subjugate the citizenry "by any means necessary." With at least two generations of Americans brainwashed by academia into seeing the overthrow of the nation as a reasonable and even desirable goal, this problem does not end this November.

It's going to get worse before it gets better. And getting better may result in an America that is radically different from what the Founders and even we can imagine. What cannot go on, will not go on. The only question is who gets to decide what the landscape of America will look like beyond this November, and G-d willing, January of 2025?
