First-World Problems...Part XII
I wanted to make 12 cookies. That's a simple task, one that should be easily accomplished. But I also make fairly large chocolate chip cookies (50 grams*), and 12 cookies of that size do not fit on a half sheet pan. the edges on several of them just touched, and I had to cut between them with the edge of the spatula. That means that they weren't perfectly round.
Just use two pans? NO! Make smaller cookies? Absolutely not! This is America...I should not have to settle.
*European kickball units have their place, particularly in baking. Yes, it is effete and cowardly and...shudder...French to use them, but sometimes one has to use the tools of the enemy or, in France's case, the vanquished.
