Liberal-Skewing Fox News Poll: Senile Credibly-Acused Rapist Joe Biden Has Lost His Nine Point Lead; Race Is Now Tied at 42 All
Nice.
The presidential race has tightened.
Joe Biden's recent nine-point edge over Donald Trump has evaporated.
According to a new Fox News Poll of registered voters, the incumbent president and presumed Democratic nominee now tie with 42 percent support apiece.
Some 16 percent would vote for a third-party candidate or are undecided. Trump's 42 percent support is, by a narrow margin, his highest ever against Biden, while Biden's mark is his lowest by far.
Two weeks ago, Biden was up by 49-40 percent (March 21-24). Some of the most significant declines in his support come from women (-9 points) and non-whites (-11). Yet, the most troublesome shift is among Democrats, as just 80 percent back him, down from 87 percent in March.
#NeverBiden is real...?
It seems that in this Fox Poll, they finally didn't have an outsized plurality of Democrats.
Trump is helped by the highest number of voters identifying as Republican in nearly a year. While Democrats typically hold an edge over Republicans nationally in party identification, this can shift based on events and changing sentiment. For some time, voters have been more likely to align as Democrats than as Republicans. In Fox News polls over the last year, there has been a seven percentage-point Democratic advantage, on average. In this poll, equal numbers of voters identify as Democrat and Republican.
On the downside, Trump's edge on handling the virus is slipping. The Fox Poll puts him at 51% favorable.
On overall favorability -- they just released their new numbers.
Approval of President Trump’s job performance inches up to a record high in the latest Fox News Poll, as voters rally to both the White House and Congress in the fight against coronavirus.
Amid widespread concerns about the virus’s spread and personally getting infected, 49 percent approve of the job Trump is doing as president. That’s up from 48 percent two weeks ago and 47 percent in late February.
Forty-nine percent of voters disapprove, marking only the third time in Fox News polling that fewer than half rate him negatively.
That article doesn't mention Biden's favorability, but a recent Fox poll put it at 47/48.
Meanwhile, stocks saw their best one-week surge since 1974.
The Dow Jones kept flirting with crossing 24,000 -- getting to like 23,955 and similarly high levels several times -- but then kept falling back down.
It ended at 23,719.
I guess 24,000 is now a resistance point. We'll see if we can break that soon.
Kurt and greggguh hardest hit, or they will be, if they're ever within arm's reach of me.
Thanks to Ha for the poll news.
