The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

I present to you the stupidest politician in America.

Go ahead...prove me wrong!*

Bill de Blasio is a corrupt hack without any sense of gravitas, any sense of propriety, and worst of all no sense of the constitutional and other legal limits on his power.

Aside from the idiocy of suggesting that every bed in every NYC hospital can be turned into an IC bed, does he not realize that there are other things going on in those hospitals...like heart attacks and strokes and cancers and broken legs and a host of other normal issues that require hospitalization?

De Blasio: All NYC hospital beds could be full of coronavirus patients

“We project that potentially all of those beds, all 20,000, will have to be turned into intensive care beds to focus on COVID-19 patients who are really, really sick,” de Blasio said on NBC’s “Today” show Tuesday.

I wonder how much worse it would be in NYC had President Trump not restricted flights from China as soon as he did?

de Blasio and his ilk are competing to be the most draconian in the country. Never mind that he is also stoking hysteria and fear and confusion at a time when sober analysis is vital. But he is a stunningly stupid and unaware man, so this should not be surprising. He actually thought that he could be a viable presidential candidate! If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about his intellect and perceptiveness, then maybe the lovely optic of him going to his gym just after announcing that all NYers must "shelter in place!"

Yeah...he's not the brightest bulb in the chandelier.
