Obama Tries to Take Credit for Trump's Economy
Is he taking credit for the allegedly poor economy which is leaving millions of Americans behind?
The Democrats continue claiming that-- that most people actually aren't feeling any benefits from the economy.
Of course they are.
But that's the Democrat line.
So why is Obama taking credit -- or blame -- for an economy that's supposedly crap?
"Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history," Obama posted on Twitter.
Throughout the day, Democrats responded by praising Obama's tweet and arguing that Trump is reaping the benefits of the work his predecessor did. Republicans accused Obama of seeking credit for Trump's policies, an argument Trump echoed later.
"He had the WEAKEST recovery since the Great Depression, despite Zero Fed Rate & MASSIVE quantitative easing. NOW, best jobs numbers," Trump posted of Obama.
Sick burn from Steve Scalise:
"With an economy this good, it's no wonder Barack Obama is trying to take credit," Scalise said. "But I believe the saying is: 'You didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.' @realDonaldTrump made that happen."
Meanwhile, NeverTrumper Joe Scarborough, who is, like all other NeverTrumpers, merely a Democrat --
I have mentioned that NeverTrumpers are and always have been Democrats, right? I think I've mentioned that once or twice.
Meanwhile, NeverTrumper Democrat Joe Scarborough claims that of course this wonderful economy (which is allegedly leaving millions of Americans behind) is Obama's doing, or Obama's fault.
They're gonna need to figure out which one of those applies one of these days.
MSNBC's Joe Scarborough on Tuesday credited former President Obama for the current strength of the economy, arguing that "Barack Obama’s economy was much stronger than Donald Trump’s economy."
...
"Eleven years later, the unemployment rate is down, the stock market is up and President Trump is raging on Twitter. He's not happy," co-host Mika Brzezinski said, referring to the 11 years that have elapsed since the end of the Great Recession.
"Here are the facts," Scarborough added. "We've had 11 years of uninterrupted economic growth. It started with the majority through the Obama administration, and if you just take the three years that Donald Trump has been in office, you take that time period and you compare it to Barack Obama’s final three years, by just about every measure, Barack Obama’s economy was much stronger than Donald Trump’s economy."
Obama sent out his Sissydog Ben Rhodes to bark pointlessly at Trump.
