Look At Me, I'm ONT. Lousy With Mediocrity
What an odd dip. I wonder why that happened? Jenga is a fun game.
Here's your “I feel old” moment of the day: This year there will be people voting for president who weren't alive when 9/11 happened.
Creeping Sharia
British TV Star in Bikini Discovers Sharia Law
Arrested (video at link) for walking around in a bikini in The Maldives. She's screaming she's being “sexually assaulted” (I didn't see that in the video, it just looked like getting arrested to me). Sweetie, they're Islamist. To them your outfits invite sexual assault. I always wonder what these leftists think is going to happen to them if they successfully import sharia to the west. The Tolkien Trust Uses Lord of the Rings Income to Fund Muslim Migrants and Terrorists. None of their pet causes-not gays, not trans, not sexual freedom, not female equality, not abortion, none of them-will survive. If they think they're living in The Handmaiden's Tale because some Christian tells them, just tells them, mind you, doesn't do anything to them, that they believe homosexuality is a sin or abortion is murder, what are they going to do when the real thing shows up on their doorstep? How fucking stupid are they? Pretty fucking stupid:
Maybe they'll get kinder, gentler Islamists and be allowed to choose: Crane, roof or wall.
Decision 2020
I’ve been a Democrat for 20 years. Here’s what I experienced at Trump’s rally in New Hampshire.
Now, she's still a lib, but the SJW rift in the knitting community drove her to check out the Trump rally. What did she find? Read the article to find out. In case you don't know, the rift I'm referring to happened about a year ago when the premier website in the knitting community, Ravelry, announced that it would no longer allow members to feature any Trump or republican themed patterns (members design and sell patterns for things like socks, hats, sweaters, etc which other members can buy and them make the items themselves) because they were “hate speech”. This was the typical SJW intrusion into a formally non-political space, and the results were the same as always: outcry, demands for purity, etc. I think the founder of the site, even after banning those icky right-wing knitters, came under fire for insufficient purity or something until he “discovered” that he was gay or bi or trans or some such nonsense. Suffice it to say that it ripped apart what heretofore had been a happy little community of people dedicated to the fiber arts. My wife is a knitter, she designs and sells patterns, and her sales fell off the cliff after all this went down. Ravelry is the 800lb gorilla in that web space and there just aren't good alternatives with sufficient traffic to replace it. (By the way, my wife is selling a lot of her samples (after you design a pattern, you have to knit and photograph an example of it so people can see what it looks like), if you're in the market for that kind of stuff hit her up. Be warned, hand knit items made with home spun, small batch dyed yarn aren't just beautiful, they're expensive)

Stating the obvious: The media love anti-Trump ‘Republican strategists' and 'experts' because the media love drama
Coronavirus
Plague Pushes China To Breaking Point
I do wish I knew what the real story was. China is lying, that's a given, but by how much? Their actions do not match a country of a billion and a half people dealing with a couple of thousand deaths. But what's the real story? I don't know. I don't even know if the footage “smuggled” out showing violent detention of people and dead folks on the streets is real either. If only there were a group of people, or some organizations, dedicated to investigating current events and letting the rest of us know what is going on.

Ted Cruz Makes Machine Gun Bacon
That's great Ted, but that doesn't appear to be a select fire weapon. No reason to give the gun grabbers more, er, ammo, in their campaign of misinformation. Also, does anyone know how to get melted plastic off the barrel of a gun? I was at the range and I put the AR-15 down on a sandbag after running through a few mags. I didn't notice that someone had repaired the bag with duct tape, and the hot barrel melted the tape onto itself. I'm not sure how to get it off.
Tonight's ONT brought to you by patience:
Special thanks to Moron Black Orchid who gave me the help I asked for with the web banner last week, and also a shout out to the dozen or so of y'all who were kind enough to offer. You guys are the best!
