"A F---ing Disaster:" Iowa Data Riddled With Errors; Tom Perez Calls for a Complete Recanvas; Joe Biden's Campaign Is, Like Joe Biden's Mental Engagement, Only Barely Functional

The New York Times reports the Iowa count is a complete mess, and the data is unreliable.

The results released by the Iowa Democratic Party on Wednesday were riddled with inconsistencies and other flaws. According to a New York Times analysis, more than 100 precincts reported results that were internally inconsistent, that were missing data or that were not possible under the complex rules of the Iowa caucuses.

In some cases, vote tallies do not add up. In others, precincts are shown allotting the wrong number of delegates to certain candidates. And in at least a few cases, the Iowa Democratic Party’s reported results do not match those reported by the precincts.

Former DNC head Tom Perez says the Iowa vote results have to be thrown out, and recanvass -- a new count starting from zero -- begun.

Enough is enough. In light of the problems that have emerged in the implementation of the delegate selection plan and in order to assure public confidence in the results, I am calling on the Iowa Democratic Party to immediately begin a recanvass.

A friend points to this: The Democrats are, get this, changing the rules of how delegates are apportioned.

As my friend says, they've gone from "steal the election from Bernie behind the scenes" to "steal the election from Bernie right out front and in the open."

I wonder if that has anything to do with this: Democrats fret that despite their best efforts to rig the caucuses, Bernie Sanders might win. Not just the popular vote, but in delegates won as well.

By the way: Do you notice Fox absolutely refuses to note the popular vote share? They don't want to damage their Democrat allies by noting that Bernie is ahead in the popular vote but behind in delegates, due to the establishment giving votes to Buttigieg just to stop him.

Fox has never been shy about reporting that Trump lost the national popular vote. And yet they refuse to report that Bernie Sanders is leading the Iowa popular vote.

You know who cares about the popular vote winner? The man who won the popular vote:

Meanwhile, Sundown Joe can't believe that his campaign is sundowning.

Leaked poll numbers from what would have been the final Des Moines Register Iowa Poll showed Joe Biden in fourth place with 13 percent.

Biden’s Iowa staffers were floored, according to a person familiar with discussions among several aides at the time.

"None of us thought we were at 13 percent," the person said. "We can't be in fourth place. That just cannot be right."

But it was right. And it confirmed what rival campaigns had whispered for months -- Biden wasn't inspiring Iowa voters and his support was inch-deep.

The article notes that donors are getting froggy, and staffers are throwing blame at each other.

"It was a cluster-f---," said one. "A shit show," said another. "A f---ing disaster," said a third.

Now would be a great time for a High Profile Campaign Defection.

To who? Bootygag or maybe Bloomberg?

Or, who knows -- maybe Bernie. Maybe the Democrats will decide that the 80 year old lie of pretending they're not socialists and communists is well past its sell-by date.

Maybe it's time for them to tell some of the truth about what they believe.
