Bill DeBlasio: Trump Is Responsible For All These Attacks on Jews Committed by White Supremacists of Color (WSOCs)

On a YouTube channel I listen to (Cecil Says), a commenter sarcastically coined that term, sarcastically blaming these constant attacks on Jews -- almost always committed by blacks and occasionally Hispanics -- as being perpetrated by "White Supremacists of Color."

See, it's all just White Supremacy. It's just that White Supremacy now has recruiting stations in the Bronx.

Indeed, these seemingly random incidents—just the first few days of May saw an unprovoked attack in Lefferts Park in which a woman tried to pull off her victim’s sheitel, two violent assaults on Hasidic men in Williamsburg, and a possible attempted vehicular attack in the same neighborhood—is part of a typhoon of violence that in other contexts might call for a Justice Department Civil Rights Division investigation. The fact that the victims are most often outwardly identifiable, i.e., religious rather than secularized Jews, and the perpetrators who have been recorded on CCTV cameras are overwhelmingly black and Hispanic, inverts the perpetrator-victim dynamics with which most national Jewish organizations and their supporters are comfortable. A close look at these cases reveals no apparent connection to neo-Nazis, the alt-right, Donald Trump, jihadism, the BDS movement, or any other traditional cause of anti-Jewish behavior.

That's from June, and this has been going on since before then, and still, no one in New York City government is willing to even admit the pogrom is going on.

How to stop local pogromists from smashing, beating, stabbing, and shooting Jews--like yesterday's attack in Monsey, or last week’s murderous assault in Jersey City, New Jersey--is not a question most American Jews imagined we’d ever have to seriously entertain. But it is now a matter of life or death.

One thing that is clear is that the familiar avenues that our community has relied upon, namely the city's Democratic political establishment, law enforcement, and the courts, are no longer working to protect us. Instead, they are encouraging more attacks, and escalating the violence against our community.

To understand how, consider the case of Tiffany Harris. Last Friday, she walked up to three Orthodox Jewish women on a Brooklyn street and began punching them as she shouted anti-Semitic slurs. When the cops picked her up, Harris didn’t bother denying the accusations. "Yes, I slapped them," she said. "I cursed them out. I said, 'F-U, Jews.'"

Harris was brought before a judge, and not for the first time. According to the New York Post, she has an open harassment and assault case against her from last November, and just last month failed to make an appearance in court for another felony criminal mischief charge. But the prosecutors in her case this time around didn't even bother asking for bail: On Jan. 1 a new law will take effect that will prohibit judges from setting bail for defendants accused of certain, mostly nonviolent, crimes.

"The de Blasio administration has made it clear that we all need to get into compliance with bail reform now," a law enforcement source told the Post. "If prosecutors had asked for bail, corrections would release them immediately."

The law's defenders are hailing de Blasio's new sentencing guidelines as a shining example of criminal-justice reform. In reality, it's a noxious example of a misguided policy that allows progressive politicians to signal their virtue while leaving minorities--Jews first and foremost--exposed to assaults without consequence, which encourage more assaults against defenseless targets. In the past two weeks, New York, which boasts the largest Jewish population of any city in the world, has witnessed 10 violent attacks against Jews, yet the perpetrators, like Harris, were all let go, grinning and unrepentant.

Karol Markowitz writes that DeBlasio is effectively a propagandist in favor of antisemitic attacks.

"A lot of folks were told it was unacceptable to be anti-Semitic," de Blasio said in May. "It was ­unacceptable to be racist, and now they’re getting more permission." The message was subtle but unmistakable: De Blasio was trying to pin the attacks in bright-blue New York on President Trump.

They are in fact getting more permission -- from De Blasio and the leftwing Marxist media.

We're always told that if political leaders don't condemn hatred loudly and by its proper name, it's enabling and encouraging more hatred.

At least we're told that if the perp is a conveniently white male.

When the killers aren't white, suddenly lefties get mealy-mouthed, evasive, and vaguely supportive of attacking Jews.

The left claims that if Trump doesn't vigorously condemn antisemites specifically and patrol your "own" for hatred, then he's effectively encouraging it.

And by the way: He does condemn it.

But here we have De Blasio refusing to condemn this for a year and a half, with increasingly lethal results, and no one on the left says boo.

Hizzoner didn’t surrender the fantasy for some time. In June, he said: "I want to be very, very clear, the violent threat, the threat that is ideological, is very much from the right."

Well sure -- from the right-wing White Supremacists of Color (WSOCs).

Will he face the facts now? Or will Jews need to actually die, not just be pummeled, for our leaders to grasp the threat?

Even Sunday, after the Monsey stabbings, he blamed Trump and "Washington" for creating "an atmosphere of hate."

De Blasio needs to stop trying to find a "them" to be the opposite of his "us.” His juvenile obsession with having the right adversaries allows anti-Semitism to flourish.
