Orwell was prescient, and his suggestion that controlling the vernacular was vitally important to authoritarians is being demonstrated by the Democrat party. They have redefined "white nationalist" as anyone who disagrees with an open borders policy or gay marriage or robust voting laws, robustly enforced.

And even worse they have redefined "Jew" as someone who eats bagels and lox and supports the Democrat policy of hatred of America. What is so sad about that is the support for that redefinition from large swathes of Jewish society. Not the Jews of the heartland, but a certain bien pensant clique in New York City and Chicago and Los Angeles and the fetid swamp known as DC.

Sure, Jews vote Democrat, and have for generations. It is mostly reflexive, because that's what mom and dad did. And American Jews certainly don't vote for their interests....the Democrat platforms are almost always economy-killing catastrophes and anti-Israeli foreign policy fiascos. As the saying goes, "Jews earn like Episcopalians and vote like Puerto Ricans."
Stephen Miller: 'Deep vein of anti-Semitism running through Democratic Party'

Calling claims that he is a white nationalist “offensive” and “outrageous,” top White House aide Stephen Miller charged that attacks on him are driven by anti-Semites in the Democratic Party eager to “demonize” him because he is a Jew who works for President Trump.

Noting the rise in anti-Jewish statements from House Democrats, Miller said the party is stained with anti-Semitism and he is simply the latest target.

“It's an attempt on the part of the Democratic Party to attack and demonize a Jewish staffer. Make no mistake, there is a deep vein of anti-Semitism that is running through today's Democratic Party,” he said on Fox.

Obviously he is a target because he just won't shut up like a good little shtetl Jew and vote the way he is told. How dare he love America! How dare he want our borders secure! How dare he support and work for an unabashedly pro-American president!

As the Democrat party slithers and slides in the muck toward full-on Jew hate, I hope that my coreligionists begin to see the existential flaw in their traditional and unthinking support for a party whose expanding base wants them gone...or dead.

No, I'm not holding my breath, but I see little cracks in the mindless acceptance by American Jewry of the vitriol oozing out of the Democrat apparatus. Is it a sea change? No, but if President Trump can peel off a few percent of the Jewish vote that is a very big deal.
