Free Speech: Dumb, Smart, Retarded, Irritating, Nasty, Vicious...It's All The Same...Free!
This is stupidity on a grand scale, not because Malkin and Schneider shouldn't be allowed to think and say whatever the hell they want, but because anti-vaxxers are profoundly ignorant of some pretty basic things.
Like huge, statistically significant studies done over many years showing the safety and efficacy of vaccines. And the concept of herd immunity.
And that's perfectly okay with me. As long as the public health is protected, I have no interest in whether people get vaccinated. It's none of my business, and it isn't the business of government.
Michelle Malkin: Fight for the freedom to question vaccines. Thank you, Rob Schneider.
Very rarely do Hollywood celebrities stick their necks out on behalf of the concerns of ordinary parents whose voices have been suppressed by the liberal media, Silicon Valley and the political establishment of both parties. But this week, the actor and comedian used his formidable Twitter platform to stand against the increasing censorship of vaccine skeptics by Big Pharma and Big Tech. This is what speaking truth to power looks like.
The problem of course is that those anti-vaxxer morons (and not in the good way!) damage herd immunity, and get innocents sick. And that is the real issue.
But muzzling these retards isn't the answer. Even though I think they should shut the hell up and go away to kill themselves and their fellow anti-vaxxers on some remote island where they can all revel in measles and the flue and all sorts of fun and contagious diseases, my irritation at their stupidity is in no way relevant to the fundamental right of these people to speak freely, no matter how dumb they sound.
By the way, I think they are correct about HPV (Human Papilloma Virus), but extrapolating that mess to other vaccines is a dangerous road to take. There is a difference between the infection pathway of HPV and the other diseases, and they should be intellectually honest enough to recognize that difference.
