Media Suppresses Story that ABC Killed Epstein Story;
Brian Stelter Claims "Republicans Pounce"

Brave firefighters.

I seem to notice that reporters enjoy claiming that they're "brave firefighters," but I also notice that zero firefighters claim that they are brave reporters.

This indicates to me that firefighters know reporters are chickenshit pencil-necks and paper-pushers.

And reporters know that as well -- which is why they try to associate themselves with actual men and actual bravery.

Below: an old evil is awakened.

Watch it, please. You'll thank me.

Another one, via Anonysaurus Wrecks:

Not only did ABC (largely run by former Clinton communications chief George Stephanopolous) kill their Epstein reporting, but all the rest of the media is now killing the story of ABC killing the Epstein story.

By the way: Remember how liberals were always claiming that it was Trump rather than Clinton who was caught in compromise with Jeffrey Epstein?

If that were ever true -- if that were ever even plausible -- why did the media repeatedly kill and cover-up this story? Were they, um, protecting Trump?

Or is it more reasonable to assume they always knew it was Clinton who would be compromised with Pedo Island revelations?

Butterball beta bottom Brian Stelter, who supposedly is a "media reporter," spends whole day avoiding reporting on the media.

Usually in the aftermath of bombshell undercover stories from James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas about liberal bias in mainstream media newsrooms, one of the first Twitter feeds I look at to find out their take is CNN’s self-styled media firefighter Brian Stelter.

Stelter, as most of you reading this already know, is always quick on the draw to call out any perceived slight or slant in Fox News reporting, but is much less interested (read: not interested at all) when it’s MSNBC or ABC News or his own network who happen to be in the hot seat.

Such was the case on Tuesday after the Project Veritas story broke about how ABC News reporter Amy Robach accidentally admitted on a hot mic in August that the network opted not to run a blockbuster story on sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein three years ago.

Many eyes turned to Stelter to see what he would have to say about it. But they would have to wait. And wait. And wait.

Eventually he mentioned this in his newsletter -- not on TV -- citing #SalonHot25 favorite Jane Coasten of Vox, Vox's reporter on "The GOP and White Supremacy."

Brave butterball beta buttboy Brian Stelter then declared that the most troubling aspect of this story was not that ABC had covered up for Epstein just as NBC had covered up for Weinstein, but that Epstein was a big meanie who "intimidated" journalists with lawyers.

Wait a minute -- I thought journalists were "brave firefighters."

Now you're telling me they can be "intimidated" by a form letter cease and desist letter?

Good round-up from Ed Driscoll at Instapundit.

Just to review: ABC News' public face is George Stephanopoulos, the former communications director for Bill Clinton. In 2015, Stephanopoulos donated $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation, which the Sunlight Foundation has described as a "slush fund for the Clintons." Which Jeffrey Epstein claimed he co-founded in a 2007 letter "written by high-powered lawyers Alan Dershowitz and Gerald Lefcourt." Court documents "obtained by Fox News in 2016 showed that Clinton took at least 26 trips flying aboard Epstein's private jet, known as the 'Lolita Express,' and apparently ditched his Secret Service detail on some of the excursions." The New York Times reported in July that "A strange thing happened when Jeffrey Epstein came back to New York City after being branded a sex offender: His reputation appeared to rise. In 2010, the year after he got out of a Florida prison, Katie Couric and George Stephanopoulos dined at his Manhattan mansion with a British royal."

The media is a pedophile protection racket, as someone said.

David Harsanyi points out that the media's evidentiary standards for Epstein and Weinstein sure seem to be a lot stricter than their standards for Brett Kavanaugh:

Sorry, but Robach's response to the firestorm doesn't square with her initial comments, in which she states that "[Epstein accuser Virginia] Roberts had pictures, she had everything . . . it was unbelievable what we had. [Bill] Clinton, we had everything."

"Everything" sure sounds like sufficient corroborating evidence. Even if employing the most scrupulous journalistic standards, a giant news organization wouldn't need three years to substantiate -- or dismiss -- a story with pictures, dates, and a credible witness.

We certainly know that ABC didn’t need "everything" -- or much of anything, for that matter--– when it was running scores of pieces online and on television, highlighting every risible accusation against then–Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

...

Yet here is Robach's colleague, former Clinton adviser George Stephanopoulos, meeting ABC's editorial standards by allowing Swetnick's shyster lawyer Michael Avenatti to smear Kavanaugh without offering a shred of substantiating evidence for her claims.

Why couldn't Roberts be interviewed similarly?

That's not the only story they're censoring--

Anyone notice that the media is still talking about "covfefe" but stopped all reportage about the killing of ISIS Terror Emir Baghdadi within 48 hours?

Funny that, huh?

And just one more thing, said Columbo--

Look who decided to take a Mental Health day away from work!

EXCLUSIVE: ABC's Amy Robach skips work and heads to the gym, following her explosive hot mic revelation that the network 'shut down her Jeffrey Epstein sex slave story out of fear of retaliation from British royals'

Amy Robach skipped work and headed to the gym on Wednesday, in the wake of her hot mic Jeffrey Epstein revelation, exclusive DailyMail.com photos show

The 46-year-old appeared to be in an animated conversation with her husband Andrew Shue as she left her Manhattan home, following the bombshell video

The footage of Robach was released Tuesday, where she vented that ABC didn't air her interview with Virginia Roberts, a sex slave of Jeffrey Epstein's

Roberts has accused Epstein of lending her out for sex with his friends while she was underage, including to Prince Andrew

Robach said ABC shut down the story because the palace threatened to sue and over concerns that Prince William and Kate would stop giving interviews to ABC

Firefighters.

Brave.

Behold the courage.
