Military Drills With Allies Are A Very Good Thing That Prevent Bad Things From Happening During Wars

So while I understand the cancellation from the point of view of the negotiations, the result is that our armed forces will be less prepared in the event of a war with North Korea. Those with experience in the military know more about this stuff than I do, but it is obvious that discovering the communications glitches and differences in tactics and procedures and logistics and a hundred other things before the shooting starts is a good way to minimize problems.

The U.S. and South Korea will suspend a planned air-power military drill for the second straight year to avoid increasing tensions with North Korea while denuclearization talks between Washington and Pyongyang are stalled, Yonhap News reported, citing an unidentified official.

Worse than the lack of preparedness is the clear message to the fat sadist kim jong-un that he can influence our relationship with South Korea.

I have no idea what is driving this cancellation. Is it the military making political decisions, or is it President Trump? Either way, it is a mistake.
