Nannystate Liberal Michael Bloomberg Putting Out Word He Might Jump Into Presidential Race if Biden Continues Bleeding Out of His Eye
"Bleeding out of his eye" is an old folk-saying meaning "fucking everything up like a retard."
The former mayor in March announced he would not run for president because he believed it would be difficult for him to prevail in a Democratic primary. He also saw former Vice President Biden as a viable moderate voice.
But a CNBC report Monday claims Bloomberg is reconsidering after seeing Biden stumble and lose ground to Elizabeth Warren.
A Bloomberg run is premised on Biden withdrawing from the race, however, sources told the outlet -- and that is unlikely, at least through the early voting contests. A Bloomberg spokesman had no immediate comment.
Meanwhile, there's still chatter that Hillary Clinton is raising her profile to make a late entry into the race possible, and now there's chatter about Michelle Obama entering the race as well.
An outfit did a poll to see how she'd do in a hypothetical bid in New Hampshire.
Former first lady Michelle Obama would enter the 2020 Democratic New Hampshire primary race as the frontrunner, a new Franklin Pierce University-Boston Herald poll has found -' though so far she’s insisted she won’t.
The poll, conducted Oct. 9-13, has Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden tied in the lead of the current Democratic field in the Granite State primary, with Bernie Sanders slightly behind.
"Today, the Democratic race is a statistical dead heat between Warren (25%), Biden (24%) and Sanders (22%)," pollster R. Kelly Myers wrote in his summary of the poll results.
The Democrats sure don't seem to be very happy with any of their announced candidates if they keep daydreaming about hypothetical ones.
The Bloomberg threat is interesting. Some Democrats -- the New York Wall Street types -- are the wokest, most partisan urban progressives imaginable, but they can't quite bring themselves to admit they are de facto socialists.
If Biden -- the alleged "moderate" (lol) -- loses to Warren, or becomes too stricken to continue, there's going to be an almost Trumpian war of the wings in the Democrat Party.
There's already the smell of panic in the air. Establishment/Corporatist Democrats see Tater Salad Joe losing to Elizabeth Warren, and they're beside themselves.
They've flooded him with money -- yet he still struggles. What else can they do?
With the electability claim diminished, Biden faces a steep climb on the merits of his record and current policy stances.
...
And in an era when small donations from the grassroots are adding up to big financial hauls, Biden is so uninspiring that he’s losing the money race by a wide margin. Despite his relentless harvesting of big checks from hedge-fund managers, rich CEOs and the like, Biden’s campaign raised a total of only about $15 million in the last quarter, compared to around $25 million that Sanders and Warren each received....
But Biden continues to greatly benefit from the orientations of corporate media outlets that loudly echo the concerns of corporate Democrats (often called "moderates" or "centrists") and their kindred spirits in realms like Wall Street....
A CNBC article summarized on-air comments from network star Jim Cramer: "The financial community is really worried about the possibility of Sen. Elizabeth Warren becoming president.” A theme among corporate executives, he said, is that "she's got to be stopped."
Such rumblings have grown louder since that broadcast five weeks ago, as Warren has surged into virtual ties with Biden in national polls. In late September, CNBC reported: "Democratic donors on Wall Street and in big business are preparing to sit out the presidential campaign fundraising cycle -- or even back President Donald Trump -- if Sen. Elizabeth Warren wins the party's nomination."
Trump's pouring gas on this smoldering fire, trolling the debate site with planes trailing signs that say Socialism Kills Jobs.
“SOCIALISM DESTROYS OHIO JOBS. VOTE TRUMP,” read the advertisement. The banner was visible starting at noon EST and the Trump campaign said it would fly the banner until 6:45 p.m., with a short break during the afternoon.
BTW: The debate starts at 8pm Eastern on CNN.
